Hi My name is Belinda and I live in Tasmania with my husband of 13 years and our 2 little girls. I have been a mad crafter for as long as I can remember. Lately I have mostly been creating dolls of all description but love making all sorts from paper arts, mixed media painting, sculpting, beading, fiber arts, playing with clay etc, the list goes on as I will try anything once. I honestly couldn't go a day without creating something or getting my inspiration from on-line in all the many talented artist blogs out there. I can't wait to begin swapping as I love making things for other people and tend to always give away things I've made. Being able to keep something someone else has made would be so great as I don't have any crafty friends, so this would be a real treat.

Favorite Crafts

I love doll making, beading, collage,wall art, magnets,mirror designing, painting, fiber art and I am a huge clay fan. Actually I will try anything once as I love to challenge myself.

Favorite Music

I have really eclectic taste in music and what I listen to is highly dependent on my mood, I love jazz, country, rock, easy listening and even a bit of heavy metal (I have 4 brothers & grew up in the 80's lol)I don't however like rap and r&b much.

Favorite Books

I absolutely adore Martina Cole books and I like Stephen King. I love murder mysteries and thrillers, not a huge romance or science fiction fan.I like biographies and true stories the most.

Favorite Movies

I love horror movies the best, anything with ghosts, war movies, true stories, thrillers and comedies but they have to be really funny.

Favorite Television

All haunted & ghost stories, I watch the how to channel heaps and a couple real life medical stories. Not a huge tv junky I like movies better.

Likes

I love anything metallic(hence my blog name) I love beads, jewelery findings, paint,cats, mermaids,makeup,birds,vintage lace & material, felt,marbles,colourful pens, pretty stationery, quote books,fibers, feathers, charms, dolls, journals, felt, material, plushies, anything wild and a bit feral lol,I love gems,journals,wall art, sequins,butterflies,pins, mobiles,elephants, shells, atc's and anything really organic and earthy. Really I have more likes than dislikes and I think I am pretty easy to please.

Dislikes

I do not like very bright colours like hot pink, lime green etc, I'm not a huge teddy bear fan (unless its really feral & monster like)or for my girls:) I don't really like knitted things, pastel colours, or really girly things. I don't really like lots of stickers, but saying this my girls do:) I think I'm pretty easy to please.

My wish list

My all time favorite things to receive would be: paint- fabric, metallic,embossing powders,opals, inks- especially alchohol ink. Fabric, fibers & ribbons Beads, charms & wire Pens, feathers (fake), journals, clay, Metallic threads, rub-ons, flowers, Anything for my daughters:) Birds, owls, atc's, kindy glitz,oil pastels, charcoal,stamps, anything really arty that can be used to alter art projects etc.

Comment: Thanks Belinda for your info on Tassie, I have to say it is one of my favourite places. I backpacked round it in 1990 and was amazed at how friendly the people were, strangers went out of their way to show us the local sights, the bloke who owned the Fox & Hound in Port Arthur even took us back for lunch!! We did one of the Cradle Mt walks (a 1 dayer)and I hope one day I'll go back and do a longer one that includes camping out there. All the best, Sharon

Comment: I didn't tell my daughter about the swap so when it came in the mail, she was so surprised! And then, when she opened all the little presents! Bailey told me that I should rate you 1,000 and give you a billion hearts, because she loved everything so much! She's even begun writing her poetry and songs in the journal you made for her! (Oh, and I had to make her take the bracelet off before going to bed!) Seeing the smile that you put on her face was just priceless. I am so sorry, your art doll will be delayed just a little longer. I had one made, but reading your profile, I saw that you don't like lime green. It wasn't quite lime green, but it was a fairly bright spring green. So I chose another one. When I went to mail it, it was too big to mail unless it went priority at about $50. I'm making a new one and will mail it asap. I'm sorry about the delay.
