I am a 31 year old PhD student currently residing in Leicester with the husband but am originally from Belfast. Some day I would love to travel around the world but until this happens (probably when I retire!) I think swaps are the next best thing! Definitely the happiest way to connect with the rest of the world :)

I really really love lazy days in bed reading a good book but when I am not being lazy I go cycling, kayaking, surfing (someday I will stand up on that board!), boarding, frisbee, tennis, eating and climbing (though I always get shaky leg syndrome lol).

If I didn’t craft I would go crazy!!! Any craft will do – quilting, sewing, embroidery, drawing, jewellery making, bookbinding, printmaking, crocheting, knitting…………

My life goals are:

• stop being bored easily

• walk on the moon (we must have some dreams lol!)

• travel the world

• play the violin again

• pass the 2* in kayaking

• go deep sea diving

• climb things

• watch all 6 starwars movies in a row

• stand up on a surfboard

• sail a boat

• laugh at least 5 times a day

• walk on my hands

• look after an elephant for the day

• go swimming in the sea at night

• make the noise twiki makes

• make proper pancakes (yippee! I finally managed it!)

• live in a shack by the sea

• go on a 'mysterious cities of gold' tour (can't find a tour lol but I DID buy the entire series on DVD lately!)

I really like all materials and colours except purple and velvet (or worse – both together ARGH!!); hello kitty(well, anything cute and Japanese); kawaii; children’s books; daisies and sunflowers; rhinos; monsters; houses; stickers; paperchase; Tim Burton; cute skulls; stripes; spotty things; spiders; bats; anything to do with the sea; lucy art style; Susie Watson style; poppy treffry style, robots, cram cream, Bake&Destroy and last, but not least, cupcakes cupcakes cupcakes.

I am not fond of Forever friends; Anne geddes (or anything along those lines); Black (tho in reference to anything tim burton then of course I love it!; butterflies; Purple (though lilac is ok); Velvet; satin and anything shiny satiny sparkly

At the moment I love Eagles of Death Metal, Zero 7, Queens of the Stoneage, Johnny Cash and Elvis.

I will always love Fluke, The Dark Tower Series, Fear Nothing, Bottersnikes and Gumbles, The Hundred Secret Senses, The Man who Counted and anything by Rebecca Dautremer.

My all time fav movies are Amelie, True Romance, Nightmare before Christmas, The Straight Story, Anchorman, All dogs go to heaven, Cannonball run and Gone with the Wind.

I absolutely adore Family guy and my fav cartoon as a child was Mysterious City of Gold (does anyone remember this cartoon lol?). I also love CSI and am curiously addicted to Masterchef.
