Some of my favorite themes are Autumn, the moon phases, mushrooms, birds, gnomes, trees and the passing of the seasons. I am Christian. My favorite color is purplish blue... or maybe it's bluish purple.Like a bright periwinkle. My favorite color combination is cherry red with aqua. When it comes to clothing, though, I usually stick to black or autumn colors. I'm rather whimsical and I love to put glitter on everything. I love artful mail!

Honestly, my favorite music is Christmas music in almost any style. No matter what time of year it is, it makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside (and thinking of winter cools me off in the Summer). It makes me feel like "nesting", crafting and spreading brotherly love. Right now, I'm enjoying cheerful music like Ingrid Michaelson, and meditative music for yoga. My other musical interests are pretty varied. I do NOT like polka, top-40 songs or modern country music.

I love books about craft techniques, decorating and festivals/holidays. I love to read Mary Oliver's poetry. As far as novels, I read a lot of young-adult fiction. I also really enjoy regularly adding to my own collection of personal art and "idea" journals. For those, I use spiral-bound sketch books with sturdy paper.

I like movies that surprise you, make you think, and inspire meaningful conversation. They could be independent, drama, action/suspense or comedy. I also like interesting documentaries. I do not like horror, sports movies, movies involving talking animals or comedies made up of sexual or body-function humor.

I don't watch television. I do own one, but it doesn't get any channels. It's just for DVDs and wii. If I did have a TV, I think I'd spend a lot of time on channels like HGTV, TLC and PBS.

I love GLITTER! One of my joys is to take things from nature or discarded things and re-purpose them into something beautiful and unique. I am passionate about creating art for healing. I am enthralled by the Art Brut and Outsider Art movements. I enjoy making things to beautify my home or as gifts for others. I love making paper dolls and bookmarks for swaps. I also love art dolls.
