My niece's name is Audra :D Her mommy is a teacher and I come from a family of 6 kids too! So much in common :p I commend you on home schooling, it can be tough. A co-worker of mine has his wife home school.
Our diet is probably pretty similar too, I am not allergic to gluten but since I have gall bladder issues... gluten is pretty much a no no in my diet. Fave snack to munch on is Rice Chex... it's gluten free... not sugary and it tastes pretty darn good on it's own.

I'm also not a big Halloween fan, although for the sake of my daughter I did decorate with pumpkins (ceramic, sewed, carved) so that there would be some Halloweeny stuff around.
