I am an artist, crafter, wife, and dental hygienist. I collect masks from all over the world, Tiki, and folk art, especially Mexican folk art. My husband and I are avid entertainers and we give lots of parties every year, specializing in theme parties, like Tiki Bar, Mardi Gras, Halloween, New Year's, etc. We do historical re-enacting - Renaissance and WWII and I love putting the costumes together.

I love lots of color. My favorite color is green. It used to be red and I still love that, but I've been obsessed with greens this last year. I love orange. I really prefer saturated colors and don't like pastels very much. Beige is probably my least favorite color.

LOST, all CSIs, Bones, Without a Trace, What Not To Wear, The Closer, Cold Case. I never watch situation comedies, game shows or soap operas, and not many movies.

We live in a condo with not much yard, so we don't have dogs and I miss that. We currently have three cats, all black, but we like all cats. Our oldest, Thaddeus, is a huge 28 lb manx. The other two are Coco and Jing-a.

I was born in Illinois but have lived all of my adult life in California - in the San Francisco Bay Area and now the California Central Coast. I love to travel, especially on cruises. I've traveled a lot in Mexico, to England, Hawaii, Alaska, Florida, but not a lot to the rest of the U.S. My favorite cities are San Francisco and London.

I've read extensively all of my life and read mostly mysteries and science fiction for a long time, but the last five years I find myself mostly reading non-fiction - history, travel, knitting, biographies, painting.

On television I only follow one sport - PBR, Professional Bull Riding, but I've started watching the World Series of Poker.

We love to go the local roller derby matches - Central Coast Roller Derby womens flat track team.

I also like to go metal detecting.

I have done almost every craft (EXCEPT stained glass, metal work, tatting, quilling) but have narrowed my efforts to painting and knitting. I knit every day. I paint with acrylics and prefer architectural landscapes and abstracts. Since I've joined Swap-bot I've been really enjoying the paper crafts - glue books, journals, handmade postcards. I made my first dotee doll for the CSI dotee swap.

Although it's nice to have swap partners read my profile and try to gear what they send to match my interests, I don't want anyone to force themselves outside their comfort zone of creativity. Send what pleases you, too, so I can see what else is going on with everyone else. I won't rate you by your choice of subject matter.
