If you have not received a swap from me, please contact me and I'll get right on it. To my knowledge, all misdelivered + problem swaps have been remedied. Some of you may still have it coming in the mail, but just let me know, and I'll see waht I can do!
I always try to rate within a few days of receiving. If you haven't heard from me, or received your item, send me a message. I'll try to rectify things ASAP!
I love to do trades for my work and abilities. If you're interested in doing a trade with me, here's some of the things I have to offer.
More will be added as I remember. I also have access to buy green tea pocky, and real maple products (which are fresh in season March - April).
I'm a Canadian mom of two -- an eight-year-old and an one-year-old toddler. At heart, I'm a radio-journalist, but right now I'm working in retail. I've got two cats, write zines, and I read palms and tarot cards. I believe in faeries, love to look up at the stars, and want to change the world in my own little ways, even if it's just one smile at a time.
I love plants, and have a house full of them. I really enjoy trees, and their roots. I like learning about new cultures, and why people tick. I love dancing in the rain, writing in my journal, and learning something new every day.
I would love to receive anything handmade. I really appreciate time and effort put into something. I also like learning about you... so if it's in your interests, then I'd likely be intrigued.
I don't really have a specific collection, but I tend to gather art. I also love stones and crystals, especially ones with magical properties. I have a lot of beads as well, and absolutely love to gather zines... so if you make one, send it my way! I guess I have a large assortment of tea as well, and am always open to new types.
I really enjoy autumn and earthy colours, and I prefer silver over gold. I'm really drawn to Celtic art, but usually like simple patterns. I also really like Buddhist and East Indian styles, colours and motifs.
No bracelets, pastels, incense, dust-collectors, or clutter please. I do not like the smell of lavender or strong perfumey things.
Items will be reworked, and changed here constantly.
I'm learning how to knit... I love the idea of making my own clothes. I'm a intermediate sewer... though I fail at zippers. I also make hemp and seed-bead jewelery.
I love photography, though have been neglecting it lately. It's hard to carry a camera in the mass of baby stuff. I fear I might knock my wee one in the head with it.
I write... journals, zines, stories, poetry. I also like to draw and paint... though again, with wee ones, it gets very hard to find the time these days for that particular outlet.
I love Radiohead. I was a big alternative listener in the late 90s. I'm pretty eclectic now, though I'm not that into the top 40 stuff... even though I hear it at work all day!
Right now I'm tending to like world, new age, indie, rock, folk and techno... especially trance-esque stuff.
Be glad of life because it gives you the chance to love and to work and to play and to look up at the stars. - Henry Van Dyke
Am I a Butterfly dreaming about being human, or a human dreaming about being a butterfly? - Chinese proverb
Hey. Could we do that again? I know we haven't met, but I don't want to be an ant. You know? I mean, it's like we go through life with our antennas bouncing off one another, continuously on ant autopilot, with nothing really human required of us. Stop. Go. Walk here. Drive there. All action basically for survival. All communication simply to keep this ant colony buzzing along in an efficient, polite manner. "Here's your change." "Paper or plastic?' "Credit or debit?" "You want ketchup with that?" I don't want a straw. I want real human moments. I want to see you. I want you to see me. I don't want to give that up. I don't want to be ant, you know?" - Waking Life
