I'm a 30yo kindy teacher who lives in Australia. I live with my partner and my fluff ball of a cat.
I'm loving putting together little packages for others and receiving them in the mail in return. Getting something 'new' is so exciting.
I love reading, baking and crafting. I am into all sorts of crafts - crochet and sewing are my main ones but I love to try new things. I am currently learning to learn to knit and starting to have a go at creating ATCs. I have just gotten back into embroidery as well. I'm a bit of a dabbler!
I do need to mention that I do re-gift some items. I truly appreciate the effort you have made it preparing a package for me however if it is something I cannot use then I would rather send it on to someone who could enjoy it rather than leave it sitting in a box somewhere.
I'm a fantasy buff, there's just no getting around it. Reading is my escape time. A new world to bury my head in and get involved in and escape my own life when things get too much.
Particular stand out favourites...
Patrick Rothfuss, Cecilia Dart-Thornton, Juliet Marillier, JK Rowling, Sarah Zettel,
I also don't mind a bit of a girlie novel and will most definitely read anything by Maggie Alderson, who is an absolute legend.
I know I should just be happy with what I get and I totally am!
But a few suggestions never go astray!
.. something from my etsy favourites
.. trees - pictures, paintings or drawings obviously
.. anything to do with nature - leaves, clouds, rain, umbrellas, autumn inspired stuff etc
.. woodland creatures - owls, squirrels, faeries, foxes
.. polka dots and stripes (on paper, fabric, ribbon, tape or whatever!)
.. hearts - in any form and any colour, so long as they are not pink
.. Christmas decorations - in blue, silver, red, white or wooden - homemade or shop bought. I am also particularly interested in collected traditional Christmas decorations from around the world, in whatever colour. Make sure you tell me a bit about the item too if it is a traditional one from your country!
.. buttons!! I am particularly looking for RED buttons for a project I am working on but am happy to receive any colour
.. vintage doilys
.. vintage or new tins with pretty designs
.. anything filigree or broderie anglais
.. swedish inspired bits and pieces
.. ribbon, printed tape
.. fabric, vintage or new (particularly with cute patterns - japanese kawaii, cartoons, fleur de lis etc)
.. vintage sheets/pillow cases
.. yarn - prefer wool, wool blend, or cotton/bamboo
.. paper products, punches and paper tape (washi tape)
.. old book pages - sheet music, any language written, children's picture book illustrations, old maps
.. rubber stamps/clear stamps - new or used
... stamped images on white paper/cardstock - particularly looking for Christmas (non religious) and birthday themed words and pictures or cute cartoon animals or children
.. colourful patterned/designs cotton ankle socks
.. wrapping paper - patterned, cats, birds, elephants, trees, cartoons, anything really apart from floral
.. cats, elephants, owls
Colours I love...
.. duck egg blue, turquoise, teal, aqua, purple, olive, emerald green, grey
... there are a lot of restrictions to Australia on food so if you want to send me something I'd be happy with a lolly (native to your country would be great!) of some type, so long as it is not strawberry/raspberry/orange flavoured, I really don't like fake flavours of these. Chocolate is okay so long as you're not sending it in my Summer months (November-March) because otherwise it arrives in a puddle!
.. 'country' crafts (like that type with chickens and roosters)
.. Hello Kitty and other Sanrio stuff
.. Disney and other movie/tv show paraphenalia
.. floral scents
.. soaps, perfumes, body products (very sensitive skin)
.. scrapbooking things (unless they can be used in cardmaking)
.. FBs, LBs - not really interested in this sorry!
.. religious stuff
I love everything to do with Christmas!
Anything Christmassy you'd like to send me will be ever so happily appreciated.
I love snowflakes and my Christmas colours are blue, red, white and silver.
I'd love to receive ornaments traditional to your country too!
The only thing I'm not keen on are religious Christmas items.
