I like making friends to share all my stories and emotional ups and downs with, to talk about dreams, hopes and feelings, to joke around and be serious, to give and receive... I'm not the goodie swapper type of girl... I'm just curious about other people out there, their art and style and thoughts...

I love postcards, drawings, tea, pens, all kinds of paper and stationery, handmade, sweets, photos... long detailed letters, neat and nice envelopes... poems, recipes, lists, tag games... everything that fits into a flat envelope... Creativity and depth, most of all ^^ I don't really need things, I get plenty of those from friends and penpals.
I'm trying out tea swaps these days and I love all the strong black or green teas, flavoured or not. Fruit tea is not really a favourite, but I don't mind having it once in a while, same goes for rooibos. I love herbal teas per se, but I don't like fennel, anise or licorice flavour.
I like birthday twins, so say hi if you're mine ^^
I love people, languages, cultures...
I love ceramics, photography, illustrations, stamping, doodles, collages...
I'm fond of * Ghibli movies * Moomins (I don't really care for the anime version) * colours * anything mail related * rodents especially mice & rats * tanuki * Beijing opera * papercuts * Asia or anything ethno/ folklore * cute stuff, but not necessarily kawaii
Maura Tierney (who would have thought) * crafting stamps * stickers * squid * chocolate * caramel * yuzu * grape flavour * trombones * trumpets * Michelle Yeoh * Albena Denkova * Bulgaria * Pakistan * greater China * Taiwan * Japan * Ireland * Boston * snow * Tang poetry * children's books * Anne of Green Gables * calligraphy * language change * otters * Kagoneko * ~ to be continued...
First of all ~ you don't have to send any at all! I give hearts happily for swapping items someone has put efforts into ^.^
Second ~ most of my type 3 swaps consist of handdrawn things these days, so paper scraps and collage ephemera might find a better new home if sent to someone else...
What I really appreciate is ~
mail art: the fact that you wrote my address in a colourful pen already makes me happy enough ^.^
a note telling about who you are and what you're sending me that makes me feel that I'm meeting a real person, even if for a short moment ^.^

I swap ATCs and handmade postcards mostly and I really don't understand why people should flake on those swaps!
In my opinion the true purpose of swap-bot is making someone's day by sending something special ^^ Thus, I only start crafting when the partners are assigned, because I try to make every swap personal ^^ I can be a real procrastinator as well and I usually have several ongoing swaps, so mostly I'm sending on the very last day, but I will go out of my way to meet the deadline! If I can't do so, I will drop from the swap or I won't join at all!

I'm somewhat of a mail addict and check my mailbox several times a day, so I usually rate as soon as I receive...
I won't judge your artistic abilities because I truly hope that you won't judge mine ^.^ I'm trying really hard to create something nice and I hope it shows ^^ There is no style that I totally hate or that I would want exclusively. I totally love unique items made with care by YOU!

The rating system is rather simple and I'm following it: I give a 1 if I receive nothing, I give a 3 if I receive much later than the deadline or if I receive something that doesn't meet swap requirements. In all other cases I give a 5. I'm willing to discuss things and to give people a chance, but if you expect your 1 to become a 5 just because you holler a little louder, then you should probably go back to kindergarten and learn that things don't work this way.
I know that if a swap I sent didn't make it to someplace, this is MY problem, so I will message my partner and resend if necessary. I know what I'm doing, how much time I have for crafting, how much money I can spend on my swaps etc. I will accept the consequences of my actions which means every fair rating. If it's YOUR swap that is missing/on its way to the moon/ gone terribly wrong, I don't see the reason why MOI should take care of it! I usually send a message if something is missing and I'm always willing to figure things out with friendly and respectful people... But if you choose to ignore me, I will just go ahead and rate...

FBs/slams/decos and the like - they need to keep moving and I don't have anyone to pass those on to, I don't swap any of those!
If you desperately need something from Germany ~ let's talk about it ^.^
If you have grape candy easily available ~ let's talk about it too ^0^
If you know a great theme for a handmade postcard or an ATC that you think I will enjoy, message me now ^0^

I must admit that I love pop music... But most of it is trash and boring like hell... So I need to look further which leads to the awkward list below (someone who lists Siti Nurhaliza after Igor Stravinskij must be insane ^0^). I've read on quite a few profiles that people like to discover new songs and artists, so I added links to the names, cool huh? ^^
Anita Mui * Noori * Delerium * Hisaishi Joe * Leslie Hunt * Cirque du Soleil * Youssou N'Dour * Jody Chiang * Karen Mok * Stefanie Sun * Cold Fairyland * Soft Lipa * Josie Ho * Queen Sea Big Shark * The Mystery of the Bulgarian Voices * Eva Quartet * Goran Bregović * Fanfare Ciocărlia * Balkan Beat Box * Watcha Clan * Zdob și Zdub * Melnitsa * Sainkho Namchylak * Susheela Raman * Beats Antique * Trombone Shorty ~ LOVE his crew ^0^ * Depeche Mode * Uma2rman * AB Three * Modest Mussorgskij * Aleksandr Borodin * Bela Bartók * Antonín Dvořák * Igor Stravinskij * Siti Nurhaliza * Ahli Fiqir * Mashrou' Leila * Dazkarieh * Up Dharma Down * Drip * Bamboo * Özlem Tekin * Mor ve Ötesi * Microwave * Hà Anh Tuấn * Lương Bằng Quang * Lưu Hương Giang * Beirut * The Bangles * The Beatles * Peterloo Massacre * Arbovirus * Ali Azmat * Jal * Junoon * Shahzad Roy * Fly to the Sky * Jaurim * Huckleberry Finn * Ynot * Boom Boom Sattelites * Crystal Kay * Gackt * Hirahara Ayaka * Jinn * Shiina Ringo * Shimamiya Eiko * School Food Punishment * Utada (Hikaru)

A bhé luisneach
Brightest of beings
A ghrian gan choinne i mí Feabhra
In sun-surprised February
A bhláth roimh am
Flower out of season
Soilsíonn Tú an oíche
You illuminate the night
Titeann Tú Id réalta reatha
A falling star
Sprais i ndiaidh spraise
Shower after shower
Is tá mo spéirse anois lom
My sky is empty now
Taoi ionam
You are in me
