I live with my husband and three cats, and have one adult son.

I am usually working on several art projects at any given time (see Fav Crafts section below). Other interests are genealogy and reading (true crime, mysteries, thrillers).

I usually have three or four books going at one time--one for every mood. The bedside stack usually includes one from the above-mentioned categories, then others about self-help, decorating, cooking, art, biography, or history...the list goes on and on.

I collect vintage books and vintage ephemera of all kinds for use in my art. I love anything "Old West", especially vintage illustrations and old children's books; 40s and 50s retro look; vintage floral and scenic postcards; cabinet cards; and photos of old farmhouses...the more rundown the better. I do not like girly-type things.

I like shopping at junk stores, flea markets, and garage sales, searching for the perfect vintage finds for both my home and art.

Mostly 50s and 60s rock and roll. Some jazz, blues, new age, country, easy listening. Favorites: Elton John, Neil Diamond.

I love so many old 50s/60s movies it's hard to remember them all. Some favorites are Roman Holiday, Picnic, Long Hot Summer, The Ghost and Mr. Chicken, the Doris Day/Rock Hudson movies, and 50's westerns. I've been told liking westerns is strange for a woman, but I used to watch westerns at "the show" and on B&W TV with my grandfather when I was little and haven't been able to get them out of my system.

The only time I watch TV is during dinner, and then it's always old TV...Andy Griffith Show, I Love Lucy, Perry Mason, Mary Tyler Moore Show, The Odd Couple, Twilight Zone, Alfred Hitchcock, old westerns.

Mixed media art...collage, altered books, scrapbooking, inchies, ATCs, and nature journaling with my husband. My scrapbooking includes a memory book I've been working on for several years for my son. My collage usually centers around something vintage...cabinet cards, books, ephemera, photos. I also like doing altered text and altered photos.
