Please contact me if you don't receive my swap. I'll resend ASAP.
I'm happy to receive whatever you would like to send me. If it's not my cup of tea, then I'll pay it forward to someone who likes tea. PS - I don't like tea. :o)
I'm in my 50's.
Identical twin.
Married for 34 years to a great guy I met on a blind date on a Friday the 13th.
Have two daughters. One is living in Germany and we visited her last summer. Thank goodness for Skype!
Younger daughter has schizophrenia and doing well. She is amazing and has a heart of gold.
Live in rural Nevada - about an hour east of Reno.
Work at the local high school doing computer work. It's a good job.
Like to hike and fish (catch and release) and pretty much do anything outdoors.
Want to move someplace that gets more than 2" of rain a year.
Have to wait until I retire to move. Retiring in 36 months and I have a paper chain made. Tearing off a link each month.
I absolutely love birds and birdwatching.
Right now I'm reading - Somewhere in Germany which is a follow up to Nowhere in Africa. Highly recommended!
East of Eden is my favorite book but I don't like any other Steinbeck books. In East of Eden, I loved the discussion on Timshel - thou mayest - on free will.
I like making paperbeads. It's a very zen like process. I've always got my hands busy making stuff.
I sell products I make - mainly Beaded Bungee Bookmarks - and have other products in the works too.
Anyone have an in with a bookstore???
I like a wide variety of music but music either hits with me or doesn't.
Basia, George Michael, Led Zepplin, The Eels, Boz Scaggs, The Doors, Sly and the Family Stone, Cold Play, Radiohead, Adele, Elbow
The Good Wife, The Biggest Loser, All the Law & Orders, Wire in the Blood, MI-5, The IT Crowd. We don't have cable or a satellite and love Hulu and Netflix instant watch.

I'm hosting a city view postcard exchange (mostly for my fiance, who loves those aerial images of cities and towns). Come see if you're interested in joining! http://www.swap-bot.com/swap/show/74830
thanks again for the nice comment :) yeah, i remember that from dead like me, i loved Daisy :) and about the 'clips' in my profile, they're just gifs and you can put them in your profile like any other image :)
Hello Carol ~ I am reading your profile for "Read a profile and leave a nice comment". I really enjoyed reading your profile, it was engaging and very interesting! I loved your sense of humor in the beginning. Congrats on your happy marriage! It sounds like you are very proud of your children :) I checked out your website - it seems like you and your sister are very close and have a wonderful relationship - your products were also very pretty! I have never seen anything like them and it was fun to look at them and learn something new! Hope you have a wonderful day :D
Hi Carol, I just read your profile for the Read My Profile And Leave A Nice Comment Swap. I really like your profile as you described yourself and your family very detailed. You want to move somewhere more rainy, you just have to move to Holland, very very rainy (Germany as well so your daughter has to buy a pair of rainboots :-). I also visited your webshop and love what you and your sister sell, I never knew that paper beads existed so I just learned something new today! I think schizophrenia is very heavy to deal with for a whole family and I admire your positivity I read between the lines! You've done many swaps since joining swap-bot and received only fives and a lot of hearts so anyone can tell you must be a very good swap partner. Sorry for my poor English..hope you understand what I wrote!
Hello, I have enjoyed reading your profile. Most people think the number 13 is unlucky but for you it appears to be very lucky. Congrats on your 32 years of marriage.
My husband and I have been thinking of planning a trip to Nevada for next year, it is one area we have never been to as a couple..... If you had to suggest one thing not to miss in the whole state what would it be?
I looked through your website and book marked it and will return. I read something there that touched my heart "We employ young adults with mental illness and women with a need to work from home". I work with adults with mental illness as a developmental tech. and I know how hard it can be for them at times to find employment and you ladies are doing is great. I wish there was more people in the world just like the two of you.
Hi! I'm glad you enjoyed my fishing story - I thought you might. I liked your rock story as well. Thanks for the link for cardamom, that's a great price! I buy most of my bulk through San Francisco Herb Co. as they tend to have great prices. You gotta love a pound of cloves for $6.00! Always happy to meet a fellow cardamom lover. :D
My Grandpa took me fishing once when I was a kid. When he tried to get me to bait my hook with a worm I pitched the biggest hissy fit EVER. I reasoned with him that I liked cheese sandwiches so fish would too. I tied a piece of sandwich to the line - no hook - and darned if I didn't end up catching something. A duck. Worse. Fisherman. Ever. Heheh. Thanks for joining Worthy Causes PC Project! -Meg-
I got your card today. You're so sweet to think of me. I'll see if I can write a bit while I'm at work tomorrow. :)
Hi there! I see that you're interested in postcards - are you interested in map postcards? - there's a mega state map postcard swap coming up soon that will get you every card you need! Check out our group here and let me know if you're interested! PS - LOVE Nowhere in Africa!
Your first diary postcard arrived today & it's lovely! (And I envy your 7-mile walk.) Thanks a bunch, and I'll look forward to receiving from you in upcoming days.
