My name is Kate. I live in an urban area right outside of Boston. I just moved into my own place - I've never been on my own before - and I'm trying to make my house feel like a home.

I am a student studying theater and English literature. I love travelling, singing, acting, writing, watching movies, cartoons (it's true,) music, karaoke, bowling, Bingo... I throw theme parties and can't resist a good board game.

I have travelled extensively and I lived in Guatemala for six months where I worked in an orphanage and studied Spanish. My goal is to return to live with my Guatemalan family once more and to walk down cobblestone streets looking at volcanoes in the horizon. This was an amazing experience.

I love to kick back with a good book and a cup of tea.

I enjoy candles and incense, and picture frames.

My favorite colors are pink and green (not neon-Saved by the Bell green, but more of an emerald green.)

I love the art of the hand-written letter so I'm a sucker for stationery.

I love independent, blockbuster, documentary, comedy, drama, suspense, horror, pretty much anything. Generally anything John Hughes, John Waters, Tim Burton, Alfred Hitchcock, Christopher Walken, Johnny Depp, Edward Norton. As for favorites, they are countless. Please accept the following as a taste... I love cartoons - I'd love to write for them. The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, Futurama, Family Guy, Robot Chicken, South Park, and then there are the shows with real people in them: Forensic Files, Scrubs, The Office, 30 Rock, Absolutely Fabulous
