About Me

I have always liked sending and receiving mail, and I often try to organize mail exchanges amongst my friends. Personalized mail is like a ray of sunshine in my day!

I just became a teacher, and it has been an interesting and tiring year! I teach computers to 6, 7, and 11 year olds. I also teach math to 12 - 14 year old students.

If you send stamps, I have a lot of stamps from Asia. I grew up in Hong Kong, so I still send letters to my friends there.

I love cute handmade items, and usually stroll through craft fairs to search for one of a kind things. I need to you to inspire me to get crafty, especially during the summer when I'm off.

Comment: Hello! I loved the art prints you sent me, so pretty! Iv only done print making myself once, and that was in school lol. I dont have the equipment for it. Good job! Answeres to questions: "What does the print remind you of?" The "Academy of Music" instantly brings to my mind the Phantom of the Opera, right before the chandelere crashes. Beautifull big room! The geisha girl reminds me of those wooden dolls, which is probably because thats what it is lol. "What words would you use to describe the print?" For both of them I get a very traditional feel. They are simple yet detailed at the same time, rustic and warm, full of love. "What objects seem closer or farther away to you?" In the academy of Music the stage seems the closest thing to me. The rows of chairs seem very far, though the chandelere seems closer. The geishas bow seems the farthest thing from me, with her arms being closest. "What title would you give the print and why?" Academy of music is a good title, but if I had to retitle it I might go with something operatic like, Chamber of Echos as it seems to be a place that captures and permeates sound. The geisha I would title something like, Wooden Geisha, to capture the sweet simplicity. "Pretend you are inside the print, what does it feel like?" The Academy of Music feels like sound all around me, a large hall of music and symphonies, open and free. The geisha feels more restrictive, like a mime in a box. Thanks again for the artwork and the letter! ^^ Was much fun.

Comment: Thank you for the Wisconsin state capitol PC. I love getting state capitol cards because they all pretty much look the same overall, but with some distinguishing details. I have never been to Wisconsin.

PS-- I sent you an invitation to some of the groups I belong to that I thought you might enjoy. Since you just joined, you may not yet be familiar with groups. They are simply a way to get to know people with similar interests a little better. Each group has swaps that only group members can enter.
