Description:

Create one large collage piece - sender's choice on theme and artistic style. When you're done, cut that large piece into 4 equal parts; send one part to each of your 4 partners as a naked postcard.

The catch with this is that the four parts need to have a unifying element, like an image or words forming a quote. The swap graphic above is an example of something I made along this line. At the center of the collage, I added a large image of a rhombicosidodecahedron (it's a real thing!). I started out with a roughly 8"x12" sheet of watercolor paper and had four 4"x6" postcards in the end. View it larger: [here].

Size is sender's choice; make sure that you start off large enough so that your 4 pieces are a mailable size in the end.

This swap is going to be U.S.A. only, but I will also be hosting a similar international version.

This looks really cool!

Can you say that five times, fast?

Steph, should these be...or can they be....covered in clear mailing tape to doubly secure and protect the collage elements? Mine are done, except for a little detailing, but I am wondering about the tape...or maybe modge-podge...

Hi Wanda,

They can be sealed with something if you feel they need it, but in my experience, my collage postcards have always done fine without the extra protection.

It's up to you!
