Description:

this is my new penpalling series, created by me for my project following my "4 weeks, 4 letters, 4 partners" swaps which is now on round 3. when i first created that swap i had ideas for 2 varieties, this being one of them. you do not have to have participated in any of my swaps before to join this one.

this one is for the hardcore letter swappers and penpallers!

*** swap requirements *** please note due to the fact that this swap takes quite some dedication & time, requirements are higher than usual.

SWAP REQUIREMENTS

handwritten letters only
long letters only - this is more than two full pages front and back. please use common sense, if you really can answer a whole set of prompts/questions on 1 page, you're doing something wrong.
minimum 5.0 rating
at least 1 completed swap & 1 rating - no newbies without at least 1 rating. please get rated first.
each answer to the prompt or question must be at least a paragraph.

an interest in writing letters! NO FLAKERS. GO ELSEWHERE. thanks!

i am tired of getting messaged from people saying that they were disappointed with their letters, and i myself have received letters that do not fit the swap requirements. to clarify: you have to answer all the questions & use the prompts to chat in your letter in the WHOLE SET. you can't choose which ones, or leave ones out. you must complete each set. your letter must be long, do not use it as a survey and simply write them out and answer it in 1 sentence. this does not fit swap requirements.

what you have to do: meet the swap requirements, join the swap. when partners are assigned you will have 6 partners & you will be sending 6 letters; one letter to each partner. in return, you will receive 6 letters back :)

what do you write: introduce yourself more than 1 full page. THEN see the prompts below.

there are 6 sets- as you have 6 partners. choose whichever set for your partner (you can mix and match or choose section 1 for your first partner and so on...) and answer the questions and prompts in that set, in your letter for your swap partner. answer the questions & use the prompts to tell a story, a memory, etc. you have to use them all, NO SKIPPING, and no 1 sentence answers.

please conversate and describe your answers don't just answer them basic and send the letter. <~ this is really important.

i will be keeping a close beedy eye on participants ^_^

please try & send your letters over the course of the six weeks and please don't wait until last minute to send all six letters. it isn't nice for swap partners to be left hanging & put a lot of effort into this for 6 weeks but receive nothing back until last minute. THANKS!

PROMPTS & QUESTIONS for your letters.

SET 1: Name something you lost or gave away that can never be replaced. / What 5 websites do you visit often, and why? / Name a totally useless possession and how you came to acquire it. / What music album would be used for a movie about your life? / List your bad habits and/or addictions and what you have tried to rid yourself of them. / toys / postcards / bad weather

SET 2: cleaning / envelopes / horror / If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be, and what would you do if later on you changed your mind? / What are your religious beliefs? Have they changed, or have they always stayed the same? / When was your last food craving, and what did you crave? / Who was your first crush and what made them special? / Name your most cherished childhood memory.

SET 3: love of your life / sunrise & sunset / china / What has changed since last year? / What is one thing nobody knows about you because nobody ever cared to ask? / Robert Frost write a poem titled The Road Not Taken. Name a road you’ve always wanted to travel. Where do you hope it takes you, and what might you see on the way? / Name one thing you always wanted to do, but haven’t. What has prevented you from doing it? / Write about your first kiss. Was it everything you wished or hoped it would be?

SET 4: magic / book store / lightening bolt / What was the worst mistake or decision you have ever made in life? / What could you have done differently? / What song was stuck in your head recently, and what were you doing at the time that made you think of it? / Describe 5 things you want to see or do before it’s too late. / Write about something you now know that you wish you knew earlier in life. / How could this knowledge have helped you? / Write about your greatest fear.

SET 5: yellow / lollipop / snow ball / Name one thing you feel brings out the good in people. / Describe a time in your life when everything turned out fine, despite the odds. / If you invented a device that could fix one problem you are facing right now, would you use it? What problem would you like to solve? / Write about the last time you spoke to your best friend. What did you talk about? / Describe a time you felt alone.

SET 6: dating sites / obstacle / plant / Name something you found; what was it and where did you find it? / What’s on your calendar for tomorrow? / What is the most annoying sound you have ever heard? / Describe your first job. / What is the one thing you cannot live without?

example using set 6: i have never used dating sites. my friend___ used one once, that's a funny story.... obstacle; i remember obstable courses using sports day at school. and so on...

you can choose which set for which partner if you want. p.s your letters will be very close to christmas so it would be lovely to spread some christmas cheer & send your partner a christmas card. ;)

Please tell me.. by 'long letter' you are meaning more than one full page, is that correct??

I have a question about the parts in the set that appear like this: "dating sites/obstacle/plant" Is this what you are supposed to talk about cause its not much of a question and the swap desc says to answer the questions for your partner. I think I sent out 2 letters that will not be rated 5 since I didn't really see a question to be answered with that stuff that's listed. Or is that supposed to be examples for the questions preceding or following the listed items?

Those are themes or prompts. For example number 1 is dating sites so that is the theme, so you will talk about dating sites as your answer... E.g your opinion on them, your experience on them if you ever have used them, anyone you know who uses them, first impressions, etc. Then the 2nd theme is obstacle. This is a theme. What comes to mind? Talk about this. For example: life obstacles, obstacle sports course, current obstacles in your life you need to overcome... And so on. There is no reason why your swap partner won't rate you a 5 for your letter if the thing you're answering isn't a question and instead it is a theme: they are similar and should get you talking whether or not it is a question or a prompt.
