Description:

Hello Fellow Members. This will be my first swap to host, since joining Swap-Bot. I am hoping for a great turnout.

SWAP:

" Father's Day Tie Dotee"

Let's celebrate the Father's in our lives by making "Necktie Dotees." We all know how much men like getting neckties. Ha! This dotee will be for you to keep to remember them, however if you want to give it to them then do it. :)

CHALLENGE ~ Create a Dotee Doll that is tie shaped. An example of the shape is in the picture above. I could not find a tie dotee, so I just gave you an image to inspire you.

2ND PART OF CHALLENGE ~ After joining the swap, list below in the comment area a father that you want honored. It might be your husband; your Father, your grand-father, or even your own son or grand-son. As long as they are a father it is your choice. List the likes and hobbies of the Father you want honored, so your partner can get an idea of what to make for you. When making the dotee, you do not have to include all the likes or hobbies. You can choose one or more that inspire you.

RULES: Be creative, unique, take pride in your sewing skills and capabilities; create and produce good quality Dotee Dolls. Flat is great for a tie dotee, however you can do either. Make the back neat and clean. Your dotee must have a hanger; a face, and a tail. It should be 3" to 6". Please include a tag with your Dotee.

NOTE: Remember to Rate your assigned partners. If your partner flakes, you must rate them a "1", before I will angel. Please do not flake as I do not have time to angel. :-)

Have fun!

I tease my guy and tell him he is not my father....lol! But he is a wonderful Dad and a wonderful partner. He is into music!80's rock(Pink Flloyd is the fave) He plays Guitar, Harmonica,Flute, and any odd kind of musical instrument. Dan is into Music, Sons of Anarchy , Skulls, Harley Davidson. He loves dark chocolate and his favorite color is black. He is the most romantic man, loves Us and is one of the hardest working men I have ever known.

p.s.( I know it would tickle him to get something in the mail from swapbot.)....he is the first one to announce "Swapbot is here!" instead of "mail's here!.......lol

Peggy I often call home while I am out delivering mail and ask my husband what we got in the mail and he says it looks like more of that special mail for you and some junk mail mail for me. LOL.

My father. He died 49 years ago when I was only 8 years old. He was a fantastic father, he played a lot with me, we went cycling, fishing and he has given me a dog when I was 3 yeas old :). He also planted a passionflower for me ( I do not know how you call it in english). I have missed him very much expecially when my own children were born. I am sure that he would have been very happy with them.

I had never seen a Passion Flower so I Googled it and now I want one. So many different colors too. Is this what yours looks like and if so what color is it? Is it a bulb plant?

My husband Edward is good father to his son from previous marriage even he knew that he is not his biological son but he just treat him as his own. I am married to him for seven years and treats my children as his own and helped me to take care of my two grand kids when they were placed in my care for two year. He is the best father even they are not his blood or biological.

We have passion flowers growing in the woods where we live. the one we have is like the first one pictured. It is so lovely. My father to recognize would be my son. He and his wife have my two grandchildren, a boy and a girl. He is a Marine heliocopter pilot and works very hard to be a wonderful father to his children. He reads to them, bathes them, plays with them and teaches them manners and politeness. I am very proud of him.

Another part of my comment is that my little grandson has started taking piano and my little granddaughter will begin ballet this fall..

My father to be honored would be my husband, Steve. He is a wonderful son, husband, father, step-father and grandfather. He is always kind and mild mannered. He treats everyone with respect. He loves to hunt deer and occasionally turkey as well as fish.

@Fairyduster53 - That is a beautiful color of passion flower. Did somebody plant them or do they grow wild?

I decided to honor my own Father. I love him so much. His health is failing and I fear that I will not have him much longer. He is 86. My father taught me to love art. He painted lots of roses in my lifetime. He did paint a lot of other paintings, but his favorite thing to paint was roses. I asked him once what his favorite color was and he said pink which struck me as odd since he was such a manly man. He worked in the yard a lot. He planted and maintained a very bountiful vegetable garden. He planted rosebushes and pansies quite often and kept a meticulous yard. He made lots of woodcrafts such as wooden banks and toys for us kids. There are 6 of us. 4 girls & 2 boys. He retired from Kraft Foods. He worked in maintenance as a painter. The main things I can remember about my Dad is that he was a hard worker; He loved landscaping and gardening; and he could build anything and paint anything.
