Description:

Ah, summer - the time for vacations, travels, and other non-routine experiences! It is rather common to send back postcards from wherever you have spent some fun time. Let's do the same! Only, we'll make our own photo postcards.

You don't really need to travel in order to participate in this swap. Just something out of ordinary - went to zoo with your grandchildren? Or visited a local museum you hadn't been to for long time? Hey, I have to drive my kids to dentist in another town - that would count, too! Snap a tourist-y photo (I'm sure you know the kind - no, not of dentist chair, there are nicer places in that town which we can visit as an after-dentist treat), put the name of the place (town, national park, zoo, whatever is most relevant) on front, and on back write a note about the place and your experience. Don't forget to put the swap name and your username somewhere as well.

You can have a photo printed the way you usually do and mount it to cardboard, or print directly to cardboard (but make sure it has good quality!), or even use a special postcard printing service. Make sure the size of your postcard is within limits of your country - a regular 10x15cm or 4"x6" is usually a safe way to go, but you can do some other format if you wish. The place name on front may be added before or after printing, just as you want. You do not have to send your postcard while still in that place that you visited - I quite understand that during holiday is not when you want to worry about finding a photo shop in a strange town.

The postcard is meant to be sent "naked", that is, without an envelope.

Please note that while "my parents in front of X" is definitely a touristy family photo, it is not suitable as a touristy postcard. People may be on background somewhere, though (for some tourist attractions it may be hard to take a photo without anyone wandering into it).

NB! The photo must be taken between August 1st and 31st this year. Earlier (or later) photos are not acceptable for this particular swap. You do get a week after the end of July to print and send your photo, so you should be able to make it even if it will be taken on August 31st.

No swappers with unexplained low ratings, no 1s owned to active swappers, no double or underage profiles, or other kinds of questionable swappers, please. You are welcome to PM me (with proof of course) if you spot any in my swap.
