Description:

Welcome to Evan’s Funtastic themed Swaps!!

PLEASE NOTE: About this weeks theme. I am Native American. You do not have to be Native American to participate in this swap. But please be respectful of Native American’s and their culture. (The quote in the picture is a Sioux Proverb) Enjoy!

For each swap you will have ONE partner in which you will send FIVE items in the theme. The theme for this swap is NATIVE AMERICAN. Items can be stickers, stationary, washi, paper clips, sticky notes...you get the idea. Each item MUST HAVE the something to do with the theme of the swap. Example: For a “bear” Swap each item would have a bear on it. (Each swap should cost a stamp and an extra ounce AT LEAST.) This now needs to be said... Please be sure to send five different items. Use your best judgement. Would you want to receive a swap with 5 of the same things? Like if you got all five things as sticker sheets or paper clips (even if they are different looking)? Please put some time and attention into the swap. For food themed swaps please send only ONE item that is actually the food (provided it isn’t perishable).

Having a hard time finding something in the theme?? This is a great time to get creative! Make something!! Make some notecards, a bookmark, find some recipes and make am mini cookbook, paint, doodle, make a magnet, print out projects, crochet, look on amazon and replicate something, tye dye a hanky, these swaps are meant to get people to think outside the box (that’s why they are broad themed)! BE CREATIVE!! Put the FUN in FUNtastic!!

I do not put a rating requirement for each swap. But I do check every profile. You must have NO unresolved/unexplained 1s or 3s, you can not have more than 3 in the past year. You must have a well filled out profile (for the newbies), and at least 1 level 3 swap. I you are banned it is because you did not meet these requirements. I will angel if necessary. Please do not make it necessary.

This is a US swap only. Feel free to do an international one if you like. If a theme does well I will repeat.

This is an interesting idea. I'm trying to think of items to follow this theme. Can you offer any suggestions?

I was going with some recipes from my grandmother, feathers, maybe some beadwork if I can around to it, I am looking online for stickers, and scrapbook type stuff...but there are things out there to be found. A lot of “boho” is cultural appropriation, but there are ideas there (Arrows, dream catchers, Stone jewelers). Things to do with the elements, Mother Earth, and animals is good. Actual native art, postcards, notecards, things created by natives. Tanka bars are good too (they help a tribe in Montana). Books about tribes and Natives is good if written by Natives. Or perhaps a book written by a Native Author. Printing quotes from Native Elders and making Journal Ephemera. I could go on and on. There are ways to do this without being disrespectful. I like to think this is a great learning moment for everyone involved.
