Ok, I admit, I'm a true crime fanatic. I haven't hosted an ATC swap in a while and It's about due.

For this swap you will make 3 ATCs for one partner. Each should have a different serial killer as it's theme. Make sure to write who the card is based on on the back. You don't have to use actual pictures of the person. Be creative!

Some possible choices may include (but are not limited to):

  • Charles Manson
  • Ted Bundy
  • Jeffery Dahmer
  • Ed Gein
  • Jack the Ripper
  • John Wayne Gacy
  • Ted Kaczynski
  • Gary Ridgeway
  • The Zodiac Killer
  • Richard Ramirez

Swappers must have a rating of 4.8 or higher. I reserve the right to ban at my own discretion.

Can these all be one the same one or three different killers?

amberbrosovich 11/21/2007 #

hahaha. I meant on the same.

You forgot Zodiac! ;) This swap is tempting me, dear! But I confess I don´t know how to make ATCs (silly me!)and get serial killers pics or stuff... But for all of you who want to do a private swap with similar ATCs... I can offer ANYTHING in return! ;)

moxsapphir 11/21/2007 #

Don't forget Richard Rameriez. My niece was a pen pal when she was a psychology student.

crweixelman 11/21/2007 #

lol I thought about Ramirez and Zodiac after I started this one. How could I forget Zodiac?! I just read a book about him.

The ATCs should have three different killers. :)

That's kind of cool about your cousin, moxsapphir. I met a lady who knew the woman that Ted Bundy was engaged to and lived with while he was committing the murders in Seattle. That's as close as I care to get personally. :P

Are you serious!? I like to watch true crime shows too but I'm sorry, I can't think of why on earth you would want to glorify these murderous monsters with your art?. I find it senseless and insulting to the victims and their families. I hope none of them are on here or see this swap. If you had a family member touched by rape/murder/torture you might reconsider. YIKES! YUCK! Why not honor the lives of worthy people? It seems really insensitive, but that's just me... /rant

art isn't always pretty or sweet or nice. if you don't like it then don't join.

i have to say im a true crime fanatic too. i love this swap....

unknownname 12/ 5/2007 #

wouldn't it be good if people listed who they like?

crweixelman 12/ 8/2007 #

the ATCs you get will be up to your partner. :)

i am all on this one. i studied serial killers. took classes on them. i am not making my art to glorify them. i joined this to remember how hurtful they was, how much pain they causedm, all the greif. all art isnt nice.

Wow... sounds like someone has a bit of a problem with this swap! Too bad. Maybe they can make a swap to pay homage to the victims? I myself have joined this swap to pass along information on something that fascinates and intrigues people. Not to glorify them. I am anxious to see the cards I get from my swap partner!

My aunt and her unborn baby were murdered. I have been touched by someone evil. I see no harm in this swap; I have joined it. These people are a part of our history. Just because there is a swap with the "serial killer" theme does not glorify them. It is simply making a not-so-nice part of history in to art. I have enjoyed making my ATC's and can't LOVED the ones I recieved in the mail!
