About Me

Hi, I'm Laura - age 21, from the UK and currently doing a degree in Genetics whilst trying (and failing) to learn Japanese. Oh and I'm a black belt in Wado Ryu Karate!

I'm a complete geek and love a wide range of geeky things! Video games, anime, anything fantasy related, Japan and various TCGs.

I'm also an obsessive tea drinker - I can't function in the morning without a cup of tea. Earl Grey is my staple tea, but I also love variety - fruit teas, green teas, loose or bagged.

And now I've even started to upload some of my ATCs onto Flickr... Madness!

Favorite Music

I have a diverse music taste... Mostly my playlists are made of metal/rock, however I have a soft spot a mile wide for J-POP and soundtracks.

Favorite Books

I love reading! My favourite genre is fantasy - dragons, magic, dwarves, elves... and my favourite author is Raymond E Feist. I also like novels with vampires/werewolves (... but not Twilight shudders).

And of course I love Harry Potter =p

Japan

My love of Japan started back with Pokemon when it first hit the UK all those years ago... Now it's morphed into a monsterous obssession, and I'll likely love anything Japanese I'm given!

I have masses of favourite anime (such as Tennis no Oujisama, Black Cat, Higurashi, Disgaea, Angel Beats, Cardcaptor Sakura, Trigun, Elfen Lied...), and if you want to know more feel free to message me!

Same goes for J-RPGs - Final Fantasy, Legend of Dragoon, Grandia...

Favorite Movies

Much with books, many of my favourite movies are fantasy based, as well as sci-fi and vampire films! I love Johnny Depp, so pretty much any film with him in is a bonus ~

Comment: Thank you for the ATC! It's so funny because I actually said the same thing to my partner. I tried to look for other good N movies but there was nothing better than nightmare before christmas. I couldn't help but make one too. Thank you also for the very cute stickers! I love them!

Comment: Thanks so much for the Monty Python ATC :-D I've been watching the film for as long as I can remember, and I saw the play in London in 2008 so I was very excited to get a Holy Grail card (especially one with the Rabbit of Caerbannog, hehe!) Thanks also for the newspaper clippings! My grandmother is tickled pink with anything to do with the Royal Wedding, so she was very excited to see the clippings :-)
