✨ ABOUT ME ✨
Hi! I’m Marina, I’m 26 years old, and I’m from Washington, DC — USA 🇺🇸 My favorite colors are lavender and pastel pink 💜🩷 (although honestly, I love pretty much anything pastel and colorful!)
📬 A LITTLE NOTE ABOUT MAILING
I always try to send my swaps within 1 day of partners being assigned — usually the same day or the following day! I also take a photo of every package/envelope before I send it, so if you’d ever like a photo for your records, just ask!
I do my best to follow all swap requirements carefully, package things thoughtfully, and make my mail personal and fun. I also always rate my partners and really appreciate when people communicate if there’s ever an issue.
If you don’t receive something from me, please reach out! I’m happy to work with you and, if necessary, resend it. Unfortunately, mail can sometimes get lost along the way, it’s the post office after all! 📮
💌 ABOUT ME
I recently joined Swap-Bot because I love the idea of connecting with people through happy mail, creativity, and little surprises sent through the post. I’ve always loved things that feel personal and handmade, and there’s something really special about receiving something in the mail that someone took the time to put together just for you.
I recently graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in photography. Although I don’t plan to pursue photography professionally, art and creativity will always be an important part of my life. I love trying new crafts and creative hobbies, even when I’m not particularly good at them! For me, the fun is in making something, experimenting, and hopefully getting better along the way.
Some of my favorite things include journaling, cozy video games, Tamagotchi, stickers, washi tape, ephemera, postcards, stamps, and cute stationery. I love decorating envelopes, making collages and scrapbook-style projects, and putting together happy mail with lots of little details.
I also love collecting stamps, especially older and out-of-print ones! One stamp I would LOVE to find someday is the 2015 Elvis Presley stamp. 👀
🎀 MY LIKES
I love: • Pastel colors, especially pink and lavender • Colorful and light-colored things • Cute, kawaii, nostalgic and vintage aesthetics • Sanrio, especially My Melody & Hello Kitty • Miffy • Polly Pocket • Harry Potter • Animal Crossing • Tamagotchi, especially the Paradise characters • Bears, panda bears, koalas, and basically any cute bear 🐻 • Stickers & sticker sheets • Washi tape • Ephemera • Postcards • Pretty and unusual stamps • Collages & scrapbooking • Journaling • Art and handmade things • Travel • Chinese food • Anything nostalgic or from the 2000s • 2000s Disney • Cute things with lots of color!
I’m not a big fan of dark/black color palettes or red, so lighter and brighter things are usually more my style.
🚫 THINGS I’D PREFER NOT TO RECEIVE
A few things I’d rather avoid: • Glitter • Insects/bugs 🐜 • Horror or gore • Profanity • Political items • Religious items • Strongly scented items • Food • Used items • Red-heavy items • Pet hair
I also don’t really drink coffee or tea, so tea-related extras aren’t necessary. 😊
✂️ CREATIVITY
I love experimenting with different crafts! I draw and paint, although I’m definitely still learning. I LOVE making collages and scrapbook-style projects, and I enjoy making jewelry even though I’m not an expert at it.
I haven’t made ATCs yet, but I’d love to try! I also don’t know how to crochet or knit, but learning is definitely on my list.
One of the things I’m hoping to get out of Swap-Bot is simply getting better at my crafts and becoming more confident creatively. I’m very much a “give it a try and see what happens” person!
🎮 THINGS I LOVE TO WATCH & PLAY
I’m a big cozy-game person! Some games I enjoy are The Sims 4, Animal Crossing, Spiritfarer, Fae Farm, Tropico 6, Frostpunk, and GTA.
I’m also a total 2000s Disney girl, so some nostalgic favorites are Hannah Montana, Wizards of Waverly Place, and Camp Rock. I also love Twilight. 😂
On YouTube, I love watching ASMR, crafting and junk-journaling videos, and Tamagotchi content.
For books, I’m interested in nonfiction, history (especially WWII), and sociology.
For music, I listen to a pretty random mix! Some of my favorites include Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, FINNEAS, The Marias, Chris Stapleton, Ella Langley, Gregory Alan Isakov, Whiskey Myers, KALEO, and Uncle Lucius.
I also enjoy podcasts about things like NASA, photography, and personal development.
✉️ HAPPY MAIL
I’m happy to receive pretty much any kind of mail: postcards, letters, decorated envelopes, happy mail, stationery, stickers, art, drawings, handmade things, and little paper goodies.
I especially love receiving a written message. Even if a swap is mostly craft-based, I think a little note makes it feel so much more personal! 💌
I’m happy to participate in international swaps and would also be open to making penpals through Swap-Bot.
I also love receiving something that represents where someone lives, whether that’s a postcard, local art, stationery, or something small from their hometown. I may not always have a lot of DC-specific items myself, but I love learning about other people's places!

🌷 A FEW LAST THINGS
I’m really excited to discover new hobbies, learn about different places and cultures, and meet other creative people through swaps. I love the idea that Swap-Bot can be a place where I can both share things I love and discover things I’ve never tried before.
Whether you send me a simple postcard, a handful of stickers, a decorated envelope, a piece of local ephemera, or something completely unexpected, I’ll be happy to receive it. I hope my swaps can bring a little happiness to someone else’s mailbox, too! 💕
Happy swapping! 🌷📬
