About Me
Hello Everyone! My name is Madeline, aka Mizchef here on Swap-bot. I currently live in Portland Oregon and love it here! The constant rain kind of sucks though :)
I have taken the last 4 months or so off from Swap-Bot due to an overwhelming schedule for work but I am now back to working normal hours and couldn't resist coming back!
My passion and career luckily are the same thing! I work professionally as a Chef and love to be in the kitchen! I love coming up with random recipes and cooking for friends or family. I attended Le Cordon Bleu here in Portland and could not have asked for a better education. I currently live with my boyfriend of almost three years, Sean, who I am madly in love with! Together we have a cat named Mr. Biggs, a snake named Snakey-poo, and a bearded dragon named Nicolai.
My favorite colors are Coral and Emerald Green. Anything Hello Kitty makes my day! I love elephants and Marilyn Monroe. I love to take photographs of my cat and pretty much everything else. I am also OBSESSED with Pinterest! Such an awesome site!!
Favorite Music
I love pretty much every genre of music! Country/Rock/Pop/Alternative/Rap. My favorite bands right now are Jason Aldean, Avicci, Lorde, Macklemore, Miley Cyrus (I know), Martin Garix, Demi Lovato, and SOOO many more!
Favorite Movies
I love comedies and horror movies! The Paranormal Activity movies are my favorite! My all time favorite movie is Disney's Beauty and The Beast. Also love Phantom of the Opera, and any of Marilyn Monroe's movies.Also if it has Leonardo DiCaprio, Kate Winslet, Johnny Depp, or Edward Norton in it, I WILL watch it :)
Favorite Television
Anything "reality" tv catches my interest! I like American Pickers, The Bachelor, The Walking Dead, Dexter, Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, and pretty much anything on Discovery, History or SyFy channel! American Horror story, Grey's Anatomy and Bones have been a few of the series I have followed since the beginning of their start. Also a HUGE Dr. Who fan!!
Favorite Crafts
I am into scrapbooking, sewing, and quilting. Beer making is one of my new crafts! I am currently obsessed making ATC's. Until Swap-Bot I didn't even know what they were!

Hey Madeline,
My name is Ida and I'm one of your swap partners for the middle name swap. My middle name is Tiare (Tea-uh-ray). My family is from Tahiti and the tiare is the official flower of the island. It was supposed to be my first name but I was born in France and back then, city officials in the city I was born in refused to accept it as it wasn't a name in the calendar (let me explain that bit: in France, the calendar includes names of Saints for each day of the year, for example we celebrate Davids on December 29th..) so they chose to put it as my middle name instead but my family and friends call me Tiare, whereas at school, work and here in the States people call me Ida (which by the way is pronounced ee-duh, since I'm French but people here pronounce it the american way and I'm totally cool with that!) My husband calls me Tiare which always surprises people when they hear him call me, nobody can pronounce it right so even my american friends call me Ida (aye-duh at that! haha) Hope you enjoyed this little crazy piece of my history, have a great day! ;)
Super Simple Swap: The Middle Name Game - My middle name is Dawn. According to my mom, it "just went with" my first name Crystal, which was after a pretty baby that she remembered in the hospital nursery when my elder sister was born. I frequently get asked if my parents were hippies when they hear my first and middle names together.

My name, Marie Naomi means Bitter Sweet. Whenever I read the book of Ruth I think it would be so neat if I had been named for Ruth’s mother in law Naomi. She was so bitter after the death of husband and sons, she changed her name to Mara. Naomi Marie… But no, I was named for my paternal grandmother, Naomi.
