About Me

UPDATE: TAKING A BREAK FROM SB TO FOCUS ON MY PhD, I SHALL BE BACK END OF 2022. If you don't receive my mail, please DM on Instagram

EMAIL: [email protected]

NOTE: Due to some glitch or something my entire profile was erased. I'm rewriting everything from what I can recollect but obviously I don't remember all the Forum Tags I had made a list of since 2019 (both outgoing and incoming) so I'm sorry about that. But if any of my current partners have a screenshot of my profile, it would be really helpful to fill in the gaps on my profile.

So I've always been in love with the idea of snailmail. I've sent plenty of them while I was at boarding school and I guess it's something that just stuck with me. Sometime back as I was contemplating about getting back into letter writing I came across a YouTube video which directed me here. SO HERE I AM!!!

I'm a Tibetan, living in India. I'm currently pursuing my PhD in Psychology and I'm not sure what trouble I've signed myself up for.

I love learning about different cultures and ethnicities, hence have found a special affinity for languages as well. I'm trying to learn how to speak in Korean and read/write in Tibetan. I have always been someone who likes planning and preparing for simple things and they may not always be visible but they exist. So Jan 2019 I began a bullet journal. I'm taking it slow and sticking to rapid logging. Now in 2021 I have a very basic planner log and separate journal for long form writing.

You can jump to the ABC section to know what to write or send me.

I am also open to personal swaps (containing what I'm looking for-mentioned below). Drop me a message if you are interested.

I am looking for

  • (pre-loved/new) rubber stamps & clear stamps ( vintage themed, botanical themed, retro and grunge)
  • Anything botanical themed(pressed flowers/leaves, stickers, diagrams, ephemera, illustrations etc)
  • Rubber pieces from a sheet (for stamp carving) any size will do
  • botanical diecuts (like flower with stems) branches and birds

  • I'm keeping a track of outgoing mail which is pretty slow to some countries but rather quick to others. Mostly >2 months: USA, Belgium, Australia,

Favorite Books

I've been trying to diversify my reading since 2020,hence trying other genres of books than what I naturally lean towards, which are

  • Crime/thriller/mystery
  • Sci-fi /fantasy
  • Self help/Personal development

  • Chocolates (prefer dark between 50%-75% cocoa) I am willing to try everything but please don't send anything with marshmallow, gummy bears, raisins, white chocolate
  • Snacks (will try all flavours)
  • Tea (herbal, green, with fruit & flower infusions) but not chai flavour

I decided to include this section to help you decide what you can write to me/send or maybe find common ground.

A: Artwork (your original, Asian themed anything (especially oriental)

B: baking paper, Bristol paper, books (of any kind), botanical anything,

C: cursive writing, coffee, chocolate(dark not white), cardstock,

D: dried flowers, die cuts (wildflowers, stems, branches, window, birds, mini doilie), doilies, DIY

E: embroidery, ephemera,

F: fountain pen, fabric lace/strips,

G: galaxy themed, grunge themed

H: handmade papers, hanji paper, handwriting,

J: journalling (TN B5slim & pocket size)

L: ledger paper, lace, lino print, linocut, lino (small pieces for carving)

M: minimalistic, meditation, memo sheet(classiky style, not necessarily branded paper), masking tape (botanical, vintage, abstract, minimal), metal dies

N: neutral colours,

O: onion skin paper,

P: papers of any kind, pressed flowers, unique writing pens, poetry (your original about life, love, death, reflections, learning), pouches (for stationery & TN)

R: ribbons, rubber carving, retro themed, re-purposing, recycling, reusing,

S: silver jewellery, stamped images, steampunk themed, stamps(refer to section on stamps), stamp carving

T: tea(with fruit infusions/green/herbal), Travellers Notebook (b6slim & pocket size), Tim Holtz,

U: uniball pens, universe, underwater themed,

V: vintage themed,

W: wax paper, washi paper

Y: yoga

Z: zip pouches,

stamps : new/pre loved/second hand/rubber/clear/cling

I've been carving stamps since 2019 but I still love using factory made stamps,in any of the themes below:

  • vintage anything
  • botanical
  • retro and grunge
  • steampunk
  • your handcarved stamps

Please don't send

Just a few things I'd prefer not to receive. Please save them for someone who would like to receive them.

  • Postcards (I don't use/write/exchange them)
  • Kawaii themed
  • Disney, Hello Kitty, Winnie the Pooh or any stickers meant for children
  • 3D or Puffy atickers
  • Glitter of any kind
  • Roses
  • Artificial jewellery (I'm allergic to them, only use silver)
  • Anything religious (except for Buddhism) or holiday themed
  • Not interested in deco sheets, friendship books/sheets, slams etc.

Response: Looks like mail is now moving slightly faster between some countries. I tried my best to include things different from the first time but I couldn't recollect everything I sent previously. Glad to hear it has made your day. Its worth it in the end.

Comment: Thank you for the lovely swap. I love every bit you included. They will be used in my journals. It was a smart idea to turn the envelope itself into a flipbook. I felt happy today 😊
Response: You know how relieved I am that it arrived safely. I myself discovered the envie flip book through a swap partner and I loved it so much that I decided to incorporate it myself. Glad that mails are moving between our countries and knowing you're happy brings a smile on my face.
