About Me

I am finished with this community. I have met some really great people here, but for every nice person whose crossed my path I've met another who was equally as nasty.

In the last six weeks I've had two illnesses, one resulted in hospitalization. Then my grandmother passed away in the beginning of May, which has made life really hard for myself and my family.

I am appalled by the selfish, self-righteous behavior or some of my swap partners. In the past week I've had 3 swaps rated with a 1, and prior my partners have indicated they received my swaps. That's terribly unfair. I work hard on the things I send and have spent hundreds of dollars on my swaps, only to have unfair ratings. I've also received some very abusive pm's from some users, which is unacceptable in my opinion. There's a right and wrong way to speak to someone, you don't have to be verbally abusive.

So, liars, cheaters, and some really rude and insensitive people who have no compassion for the health and feelings of others. If that's what this site is about, I want no part.

To the people who were civil, thank you.

This will be the last day I sign on here. I have sent everything for which I have marked sent. I won't be checking pm's today or any day thereafter, I don't need any more grief added to my life at this time.

So I bid this site farewell.

We can’t control what God puts in our path and I wish your partners would have been more understanding. Unfortunately, I still have to rate you a 1 since I never received my package. I must say that I’m very disappointed … last we spoke you were in the process of making a replacement. In your own words “…the one i sent wasn't difficult to make so it won't be a huge hassle.” But by what you stated on your profile, you have sent everything that you have marked sent. And I’m guessing that I’ll never see my treasure chest. If you ever come back to this website please note that I will happily change my rating if I ever receive something from you. Take care.

Comment: Technically I got something for this swap. However, the ATCs I got were not made by her. Especially since she unashamedly says 'you would have gotten ATCs from other people anyway'. She is referring to the fact that this swap was supposed to be 5 ATCs to each of 4 partners. When we were the only two who signed up, I asked her if she would still like to send 20 or only 5. She said 20. So I expected 20 MADE BY HER as per the original swap. This was never a trade of ATCs made by others. What a scam! I might just think that she really is simply delusional thinking this is an acceptable substitute except she currently has 4 OTHER ratings of 1 and some 3s. I did give her the opportunity to return 15 of my ATCs and send 5 of her own and I offered to return the 20 ATCs she sent if she gave me a SASE so I did try to resolve this with her. I told her unless she sent me her own work it was like stealing and she accused me of being a thief even though I only wanted to receive her OWN WORK. (and offered to return the rest). The nerve! I am soooo glad she is suspended and not planning on coming back. If she ever changes her mind, (she will probably sign up under another name) please do not let her in your swaps! I originally rated this a 1 and still feel this is warranted as she tried to pull a fast one not including any note as to why she sent other's work. I did not receive ANYTHING SHE MADE in a swap where this WAS REQUIRED! However, TECHNICALLY a 3 is correct and my comments shall have to reflect my disgust. As I am a officer and hostess on many groups, I feel that I must rate a 3 to maintain the confidence of those in my groups who worry that I may rate them unfairly one day. As long as you are honest and sincere, you will always get along with me here. This member was not honest AT ALL and has made no effort to resolve this.

Response: umm you received an elizabeth taylor skinny card from me, and you received it on time. if i do so remember i had just been hospitalized and sent you the card my partner had sent me, for which you sent me a message and asked me if i would like to send one of my own once i was feeling better and you'd send the one i gave you back to me. you are a dishonest swapper and i will be reporting this rating to rachel.

You haven't answered my e-mail... hoping you have indeed sent your ten part swap for the April Showers Bring May Flowers swap in Cup and Chaucer... but since she has not received anything yet, and it was ten items to be mailed independently, all different days, I think you have flaked. Which would mean you have lied on your profile where you state you have sent everything marked sent. (which indeed seems pointless if you really are leaving Swap-bot) I will be angeling this one.
