About Me

My mother had a stroke so I'm not doing Swap-bot right now. I am pretty sure I've rated everyone but if there is an issue please let me know. Just give me some time to respond as I am at the hospital most of the time now.

Hi! I am a stay-at-home, psychologically disabled mom with a sweet little girl who keeps me running in circles, cats to keep me covered in purrs, an adorable bunny to make me smile, and a good husband who tries to help me stay sane. It doesn't work! CHAOS REIGNS HERE! lol

I tend to be a last-minute sort of person, but please don't be alarmed. I work best that way and always have. In fact, I often experience writer's block up until the due date.

***My score is lower than it used to be. I have a 1 and a 3. I did my best to resolve this but two of the people I needed to send my swap to were no longer active members of Swap-bot.. What happened is this: I got into a swap about childhood memories, and accidentally stumbled into a hornet's nest of memories involving child abuse that I had kept suppressed for over a decade. I was so confused and generally messed up from that that I didn't finish the swap for about a year. I would have finished it sooner but I was ashamed for being so late, and as I saw it, so weak. I also dreaded having to explain what had taken me so long. It was totally my fault and I deserved less than I got. The people here are so generous! I am still trying to get the item to the last (apparently active sometimes) swapper, but I have no way of knowing if they will accept it, especially as they do not answer their messages. Anyway, I will not be engaging in any swaps of memories again, so you should receive everything from me on time. :) ***

Please note: everything will come from a smoke-free home, but our home does include cats and a rabbit, so if you're allergic, we might have a problem!

I am sometimes interested in private swaps! Just send me a message :)

I someday want to be a published writer of both fiction and nonfiction. I work on my stories in my head as I go but rarely have time to write them down. I'm kind of finding myself right now, and trying to get my insanely messy, cluttered house in order while taking care of my daughter and kitties and now bunny. I spend my little bits of free time reading, embroidering, sewing, crocheting, knitting, scrapbooking, watching British television and anime, and playing Lord of the Rings Online or Sims 3. I am an ice hockey fan and a lover of music, the ballet, and the opera. I want to live in the British Museum. Artifacts and primary sources all in one place! I used to want to be an actress on Broadway and still would love to play Lady Macbeth someday. I also love words and spend way too much time trying to figure out their origins or learn bits of dead or unusual languages. I'm really into Japanese right now but still know very little of it!

Fave colours/ house colours - Green! Green is definitely my favourite. Think verdant fields in England...I also love purple. I wear a lot of red and black as well. - Blue and White (like the china) for bedroom - Our kitchen is done in cats and poppies with some strawberries--lots of blacks, reds, and yellows. Or it used to be. It's actually mostly undecorated now. Our current kitchen walls are just so hard to get a nail into! :( - Living room: fall colours. - Daughter's room: Blue and yellow - Bathroom: theme is Hello Kitty so bright pink, purple, aqua, etc - Pretty much, with me, earthtones are always a sure bet. You cannot go wrong with them and I can always find a place for them.

I save all sorts of junk to make into things and sometimes even get around to doing it. The first example I can think of is a hair barrette made from a dull old Sunbeam bottle opener. I am a bit of a hoarder and am trying to find more and more ways to use up my stash of stuff.

I am also wanting to learn to draw manga-style and to make woodcuts or lino-cuts. Soon going to try needle-felting and duct tape crafts.

Basically, if I don't know how to do it yet, I am either planning to learn or working on learning.

What I Don't Like

grellno - Grasshoppers, especially large ones! I go into panic attack mode and may even run when I see the big ones. Please don't do that to me! It's hard enough living in Florida lol - Anything gory (unless it's surgery--I know, I'm weird) Drops of blood are fine though. - Attack on Titan - Twilight or any vampires that sparkle, twinkle, etc. I like my vampires to be scary and dangerous and something no one sane would want to be (Dracula, Barnabas Collins, the Anne Rice ones, etc unless they are Bunnicula lol Bunnicula is the exception!) - Zombies (unless they are the Bizarre Dolls from Kuroshitsuji) - Anything that promotes hatred or degradation of any group of people - Anything explicitly sexual--artistic nudes are fine. Pinup style art is okay with me. Porn is not. I know there is a fine line, but if it is blatantly exploitative, it is out. If you have doubts, don't send it! - Gross-out or potty humour--I really just don't find it funny. I mean, I see poop all the time. I'm a mother. - The poop emoji. See above. - Excessive use of profanity

(Monty Python and Gintama break most of my rules but I love it because of the bloody brilliant way in which they do it. But they're the only ones who can get by with it).

  • If we're talking food, onions are my big no-no. I can't stand them. Also, I'm mildly allergic to eggs.
  • Please don't send chocolate because this is Florida and it will melt into a puddle long before I get it! In fact, I'd say most foods probably will lol
  • Please don't send me anything that smells like cigarette smoke. It makes it very hard for me to breathe. I am a classic nerd--I have mild asthma lol
  • A lot of perfumes and scents in makeup give me headaches or stuff my nose up or make me look like I'm crying so it's probably safest not to send me anything scented.

About Religious Items: I am a Christian and a member of an Episcopalian church. If you do not believe that Episcopalians are proper Christians, please keep it to yourself. I would prefer not to be sent religious tracts of any kind or any kind of proselytizing material. I will gladly be friends with anyone of ANY creed provided they do not try to force their beliefs on me.
Christian stickers, cards, etc are fine with me, so long as they do not advertise a specific denomination. I find other beliefs very interesting and will not be offended by cards and such relating to them, with one exception: no Satanist stuff, please! And by Satanist I literally mean "worshiping Satan." I have never heard of Satanist stationary so I'm not too worried. lol

  • Lego everything!
  • mermaids
  • Moanna
  • Groovy Girls and AG-type dolls
  • cooking and gardening
  • cotton candy
  • Pokemon
  • sports
  • bunnies

Dislikes: - snakes - spiders - guns - lizards - roaches - sharks - eels - can't have chewy candy or gum! orthodonture :( - Sesame Street - Transformers - blood/gore/surgery - poop emoji

Not allowed to watch gory or very violent shows or movies or anything with lots of rude, gross, or potty humour. Not allowed Monster High, Equestria Girls, or other dolls/media that portray deathly skinniness as normal. Nothing racist, sexist, or generally negative about another group of people in any way. Please do not send religious pamphlets, books, or proselytizing materials of any kinds. Things with Bible verses, crosses, creches, etc are fine though, and texts and images from other religions are welcome as well; you can never start teaching diversity too early! I would prefer nothing Satanic be sent to my girl, though.

Profile Swap: Things that make you happy.

  1. Art – Art is almost (after family) to me. Art is expression, it is my freedom. You can always show feelings with your art or understand other’s feeling. I just love to go o the gallery and stare at a piece of art and wonder what the artist was thinking.
  2. Flower/Gardens – Taking care of flowers is my second passion. I just love when some of my balcony flowers have new seed, so I can replicate them. And when the new seed grow into a healthy flower I’m the happiest person in the world.
  3. Cats – I love cats with all my heart. I’ve heard a legend from Egypt where the cats have ruled the world and we were their slaves. Fun legend, but I love cats because they’re independent, they don’t annoy you for attention, and their meowing and paws are the cutest.
  4. Book – After creating art, comes book. I love books, for what is hidden inside of them. I can always get inspiration from a book and create anything new after that.
  5. Cooking – Mostly for myself but I love trying new recipes. It is a fun adventure, that I always go by myself so I can learn what is right and what is wrong.
  6. The sea – I go to the sea once or twice a year, and every time I go there it is like a new experience. Like I’ve never been on a sand or inside the salty sea. I love the smell in the air and all the laughter and happiness you can see around the beach
  7. Cosplaying – every time I start a cosplay I don’t finish it on time due need of money. But boy when I finish a cosplay I just go around and show my creation to everybody. I tell everyone and I’m so so so happy I did something new in this world with my two hands.
  8. Travelling – this is something I Loved even when I was a little girl. I always travelled with my parents, not because they don’t want to leave me alone at the house, but because I wanted to see everything. Nowadays I don’t have the time to travel with them on their exotic trips, but I still do some cheap budget trips with my boyfriend, and the minute I got inside the train I’m happy like a little kid
  9. Something inside my mailbox – this feeling Is a bit new for me, but after I got introduced to it, there isn’t a day that I don’t look over my mailbox and expect something inside. After I receive something I just stare at it happily for days.
  10. My friends – meeting with my friends or just talking to them makes me happy. I just love talking to them for everything and sharing always make me a little bit happier. Or when they need me

Have a wonderful day Rosi

Profile Swap: Things that make you happy.

  1. Clouds - be it viewing up from the ground or down from the plane. I would imagine animals and stuff from the shape of the clouds. or even jumping on those huge cotton candy land :)

  2. Stars - when i am upset, I would go down to the garden in front of our dorm and lie down on the (dry) grass, listen to David Choi's music, and gaze at the stars. that calms me down a whole lot.

  3. Travelling/Stayaction - visiting new cities i’ve never been to puts a smile on my face. Even a stayacation makes me happy even though i don’t get to travel anywhere. I guess it is the experience of staying in the hotel that makes it feel like not being in the current city i am in. Staycation = Vacation in the hotel of the city you live in.

  4. Kittens/Puppies - they are just so cute and cuddly.

  5. Avocado Toast - yes, its that specific. Hehehe. Actually i love all kinds of bread, but i am on a hiatus from consuming bread. But avocado toast is what makes me happy, every day, all day.

  6. Reading Novels - they allow me to be in a different world walking in the shoes of different people, experiencing through my imagination through the descriptions of the authors. It gives me time off from the things that i am going through at the moment.

  7. Bicycle shaped trinkets - it makes me happy because it reminds me of my bf whom i love so much.

  8. Food - because i am a foodie.

  9. Tulips/Peonies - these two are my favourite flowers and are hard to come by in Jakarta. So when i do get them, it makes me super duper happy. Even though they wither very fast without reaching their full bloom.

  10. Penpalling – I get to be in contact with people far away from me who i regard as friends although we have not met in person yet. I am happy to have found them and call them my friends.

justme2905 on Apr 21, 2018:

Things That Make Me Happy Swap

  1. Flowers

My father enjoyed planting flowers. When I see flowers they make me happy because I think about the fun memories of being outside with my Father.

Rainbows make me happy because, I feel a connection with my Father who is in heaven now. When I am unsure of something, I look up and see rainbows like the one above it makes me feel like my Father is telling me everything is going to be ok.

Music is where I go to escape the stress of the hear and now. Music makes me happy no matter what kind of mood I am in.

4.Holding my great niece for the 1st time made me happy. I felt love like never before. It brought back memories of taking care of her Mother. My 1st niece had my first great niece. April 9, 2018. My birthday is April 7 and my 1st born niece was born April 3. The month of April is full of birthdays. Happy times with my family.

5.Spending time with my next to the youngest nieces makes me happy. The look on her face when I told her I was going to take her to Disney on Ice was priceless. The day of the event I did not want to leave the house. But it was worth it. To hear Ava tell me. Thank you Aunt Mare Mare. You are so sweet. Meant the world to me.

6.Going to my Grandmothers house. I find my Grandmother house a happy place. It is quite and peaceful. I enjoy listening to my Grandmothers stories from her childhood. It makes me happy to see my Grandmother interact with my daughter.

7.Watching my daughter grow. I always said I would never have children. But I have a 13 year old little lady. It is never a dull moment with her around. My daughter always know what to say to make me smile. The joys of being a Mother is never ending.

Yellow is my happy color. Sunflowers bring back happy memories of my Mom and Dad planting sunflowers for me. Little things make me happy. And all of my happy thoughts revolve around my family.

9.Going for walks. I find it amazing go for walks and find things in nature that I have never seen before. It makes me stop and think about God and his beautiful world.
