Hello!
Notes to swap partners: because of COVID, please seal your envelopes with tape instead of saliva. I'll be doing the same. This is JUST a precaution: AFAIK, I haven't been exposed to COVID, but why take a chance? My husband is a heart patient and high-risk. :(
COVID may also delay the mail a bit, so if you haven't received something from me in a reasonable amount of time, please message me so I can send a replacement.
I should also tell you that if a swap doesn't HAVE to go through the Post Office, I'll put it outside in my mailbox with the flag up. This may make the postmark a bit later than the swap card says. Don't worry, I usually send 'em out a few days early, if not immediately! I want to be timely and for you to be happy with your items!
I'm a happily married Christian geek (Dr Who/Star Trek/Game of Thrones) currently living in the Florida Panhandle. Mine is not a touristy area, so, alas, postcards are few and far between.
Thinks I like, decoratively: peacocks and their feathers, beachy stuff (especially sea turtles), cool colors.
Themes I like: sci-fi/fantasy, Japan. We have a pet cat and a cockatiel, both spoiled, so those themes would be appreciated, too.
Things that will get your swap dumped in the trash immediately, sorry: glitter, fragrance, occult/horror/violence. Some other things, like washi tape, I have no use for, but can be saved for future swaps.
Most interested in swapping: Notecards (with envies), tea. I've been writing more notecards than expected during this COVID pandemic! I like most non-herbal teas as long as they don't have mint, rose hips, or artificial strawberry flavor. My favorite is jasmine, followed by Earl Grey and Oolong.
While I'd like to swap chocolates, it just wouldn't work during the summer months. Ditto for any other heat-sensitive materials.
I only swap "readymades"; sorry, not a crafter, other than digital (swap cards, profile pics). Fair warning.
Hubby is a big Saints fan and collects luxe or unusual decks of playing cards -- preferably still factory-sealed.
Thank you for reading this profile, and I look forward to possibly swapping with you someday!
