I am a 51 year old happy homemaker. I have been married 33 years to my high school sweetheart. I am a well adjusted empty nester. I have two grandchildren, a 3 1/2 year old granddaughter and a 1 1/2 year old grandson. They live in New Mexico and we travel from Maryland, once a year, to visit them. In April of 2017, we hatched our first chickens. We kept three of them. We have two hens and a rooster. I LOVE my chickens! They have been quite an experience.

I love country, classic rock and oldies. I keep Adele in my car CD player and like to sing along, when alone in the car.

I am an avid reader. One of my favorite books is The Da Vinci Code, by Dan Brown. I enjoy a variety of authors, such as, Patricia Cromwell, James Patterson, Nicholas Sparks, Jodi Picoult and Nora Roberts. I go to sleep with my Kindle.

I am a newsie. We watch David Muir and Lester Holt every night. I get a good laugh out of John Oliver. My secret shame is Dancing With The Stars. I wish that I could move like that. Much to my surprise, we are working our way through Game of Thrones. I am surprised by how much I am enjoying it.

I am currently sewing flannel jammies for the grandkids. My granddaughter is getting her first Barbie for Christmas. I am making a wardrobe, furniture and stowaway Barbie house for her. I am knitting myself some soft slippers, in the evenings. I have one done and one to go. I enjoy small, quick to finish, cross stitch. I am a beginning painter, both water colors and acrylics.

My favorite color is red. I love decorating for holidays, any holiday. I like anything botanical. I love old things and anything vintage looking. I consider myself a decent cook and would enjoy any recipes. I prefer teas to coffees. I do not enjoy Rooibos. My dislikes are pretty simple....I detest anything strawberry flavored, anything vulgar, anything that smells like smoke. Unless it is specified in the swap, please, do not send anything ATC related. I have no interest in ATC's and no need for the little pieces of paper.

I had a few really bad experiences with the swaps. I stopped participating all together, but I really enjoyed it and miss it. I would like to give it another try and hopefully have better experiences. I realize that I may not have swapped for sometime, but I can't imagine not living up to my previous scores. I am only adding this "update" to explain my inactivity, in case someone is reading my profile to decide if I may participate in a swap.
