About Me

My name is Tamara, I'm 26 years old and I grew up in Austria, but moved to Germany a few years agoto study Marketing. I like swaps with handmade things best and I will always give my best when creating something for you. Here are some of the things that I like.

I really enjoy drawing, especially characters. If you like to draw too, I'd love to see your art and find out about different styles. And I also love mailart! Receiving decorated envelopes makes me super happy, so if you'd like to put a bit of effort into your envelopes, I'll appreciate that for sure!

I love writing, I own an old typewriter and I'm in love with it. And, of course, I love writing and reading letters, so if you want to include a little note about yourself or even a longer letter (even if it's not necessary for the particular swap) you can be sure that I'm happy to read it.

Favorite Crafts

I like little DIY projects and one of my favourite things in the world is making and wrapping little gifts for people. I love to recycle because I think that we are producing enough waste already and if everybody did a little bit of recycling, even that would help the environment. So I like to recycle paper from paper bags that you get for free when you go shopping for clothes and turn them into envelopes. I also try to reuse all the plastic bags that I get. If you send me for example a pretty envelope that is decorated with pretty stickers or washi tape, I will take those off and reuse them in another swap or my bullet journal.

Bullet Journaling

I keep a bullet journal and I really like creating and decorating my pages and trying out new spreads and designs. A lot of the washi tape and stickers that I receive go into this journal and I'm always looking for more stuff I can decorate it with.

Favorite Books

I read a lot and I'm an absolute Harry Potter fan and Game of Thrones is another of my all-time-favourites. But I really read all kinds of stuff tbh, also lot sof fan fiction. The only books that I don't like are criminal stories and horror stories, because then I'll be scared for the next few weeks ;).

Favorite Movies

I like a lot of movies, except scary ones and I really love Disney movies. But in general, I don't watch so many movies and almost no shows. I just prefer to do other things.

I love cacti and succulents, because they look pretty and are easy to grow, but even those I sometimes manage to kill haha.

Other Stuff

I really love everything that's cute, from cute washi tape and patterned paper to unicorns and fluffy baby animals. And I love dragons, by the way.

If you're wondering, I generally like every colour, but I especially enjoy pastel and metallic colours.
I'd love to receive washi tape samples because I'm quite addicted to washi tape. I'd especially love to get washi tape that I can use in my Bullet Journal (ones with numbers or the days of the week or something like that) and cute animal washi tape.
I like little cards, project life cards, cut outs and stickers because I can decorate my Bullet Journal with them, so I'd be happy to receive those.
Also, I love everything Harry Potter themed.
Other random things that I like: stickers, pens, enamel pins, pretty postage stamps, journaling prompts, patterned paper, project life cards, die cuts, tea (no preferences, I enjoy trying them all), hot chocolate, art that you created.
But generally, I'm not that picky, I just wanted to include some things that I'd love. I'm sure I'll like everything you send me, especially if it's hand-made, so don't worry too much about it :). And if you ever just want to go on anerdy rant about Harry Potter, Game of Thrones or Dungeons & Dragons, I'm all here for it. :)

Comment: Thanks a lot Tamara, for the lovely swap. Thanks again for using stamps. 😍
Comment: Thank you so much for the pretty envelope and the cute supplies! I cannot wait to use them in my planner next year :)
Response: Oh, I'm so glad you received it and enjoy it! Thanks for the heart! :)

Comment: Dear Hermione, it worked! Didn’t expect anything else from you than a perfectly working spell... on the letter... and the tattoo:) You inspired me, also a dragon. All for now, I guess George needs my help, I hear exciting little explosions in the shop, longer letter next time! Fred
Response: I'm glad it worked ;) thanks for the heart!

Comment: Wow what a lovely letter. I can tell you out a lot of effort and work into it. Not only was the presentation perfect but so was the actually content of the letter. Immersive like Reading a short story from within the books! Thank you for sharing it with me. I have read fire and blood! It focuses on Targaryens only and it is very good but I like a world of ice and fire better because it talks about everything. But Fire and Blood is basically a Targaryen history book. Nice to find a fellow Aries hufflepuff, many Aries are gryffindors! Growing up my favorite character was hermione too. I love ginny and draco! A lot of my friend are pro-Draco redemption arc so not an unpopular opinion to me! my current favorite is Luna. She’s definitely the character that is most like myself and I relate to her a lot. I’d love to exchange letters! I can talk a mile long about characters, theories and fanfic, etc. Happy swapping :)
Response: Oh, I'm so glad you loved the letter, that's always great to hear! If you want, you can just send me a letter or DM me if you don't have my address :) And thanks for the heart <3

Comment: Thank you so much for this lovely mail! Loved the teas (tasted already couple and those were perfect for after work tea) and the extra stamps were perfect, exactly what I have been looking for! Loved the note too :) I have bit similar experience long time ago when I just started with horses. Rode my teacher's daughter's international level show jumper, and comparing to riding school horses.... It was amazing experience.
Response: I'm glad you liked the tea and the stamps! Thanks for the heart and I hope you'll find a lot more beautiful stamps!

Comment: I loved your hand drawn envelope art! So clever and beautifully done! Colored pencils are a medium I don't use myself, so I admire those who master them :) I liked the letter paper you used too, with all the maps on reverse side. I checked out "River God", and my library has it as Finnish translation. I will get it next week, when the libraries open up again. I'll let you know when I've read it :) This was a great swap, thanks!
Response: Oh cool, I'm glad you liked it and I can't wait to hear what you think about it! <3

Thanks again, take care! :)

“Thanks,” I said. Creepy, creepy, creepy. I didn’t add that he smelled like meat. Not that I could. Apparently, choking helped me keep my mouth shut and mind my manners.

Book Quote - September

"But Rink himself had the most special talent of all: during the full moon he sprouted flowers all over his body. It was a beautiful sight, and they were the prettiest, sweetest-smelling and longest-lasting blossoms you ever saw.

Some folks might stay home sick in bed if they happened to sprout - but not Rink. Every morning following a full moon, his mama would gently clip the flowers from her boy and off he would go to school."

Book Quote - August

“Over time, Xan had started making certain preparations - a blanket woven of the softest lamb’s wool to wrap the child and keep it warm, a stack of cloths to freshen a wet bottom, a bottle or two of goat’s milk to fill an empty tummy. When the goat’s milk ran out (as it invariably did - the trek was long, and milk is heavy), Xan did what any sensible witch would do: once it was dark enough to see the stars, she reached up one hand and gathered starlight in her fingers, like the silken threads of spider’s webs, and fed it to the child. Starlight, as every witch knows, is marvelous food for a growing infant. Starlight collection takes a certain knack and talent (magic, for starters), but children eat it with gusto. They grow fat and sated and shining.”
