About Me

Hi! I live on an island off the coast of Alaska with my daughter 13 and my son 11 and my husband :) I have always been pretty crafty. I went to school for childrens book illustration and fine art printmaking.

FAVORITE COLORS: I like all colors. I go through phases of liking one more than the others at different times....right now I would say am into green and oranges.

FAVORITE MOVIES: I am a major movie junkie. Amelie, Series of Unfortunate Events,Penelope,Stardust,anything Jane Austen,Anything Tim Burton, Anything with comic book type characters, and paranormal,vampire,werewolf. And old movies..... Hitchcock, old pirate movies,Thin Man series, Mareen O'hara, old Tammi and the Bachelor. Star Wars, Princess Bride, Indiana Jones, Willow, anything with The Muppets, Goonies, Labrynth

LIKE: 1)Tea and hot chocolate 2) glitter or glow in the dark anything 3) stickers 4) postcards- handmade, store bought, international ,tourist, vintage.... 5) roller skates!! :) 6) Hello kitty-specifically twin stars and kawaii 7) washi tapes 8) Peppermint flavors 9) Dark chocolate 10) I knit and spin yarn wool fibers, Angelina fibers 11) Pressed Pennies 12) Halloween/fall/Day of the Dead 13) Thrift store shopping

DISLIKES: 1) Not a big fan of watermelon or banana flavors. 2) Anything that is sugar-free. 3) Cats.....unless they are black cats for Halloween. 4) religious items

Comment: It has been 6 months and I still haven't got this swap. I have contacted you but still nothing has transpired. Quite annoyed since this was a large parcel swap. I will change the rating if this swap is rectified.
Response: The end date for this swap was Oct.30th. I did send out and believe the package to have been lost in the mail. We had from Aug.15th -Oct.30th to work on this package. I did let my swap partner know I would re-send. Still working on new pieces for her package. Will re-send as soon as they are done. Apologized for the lateness.

Comment: This swap coordinator fell down on the job. The swap was due out Dec 9. She marked it sent on Dec 17 but it was actually posted on Dec 20. I had no communication from her until Dec 25. I received this swap on Dec. 30. Thank you but I'm still going to rate a 3 due to late shipping and no communications out it until quite late in the game.

Comment: Thanks for the postcard, I'm also not a big fan of beer. I'm rating a 3 because you sent well after the deadline, and you didn't contact me until 14 November to let me know what was going on. I checked all my messages from 1 October through today, and at no point did you contact me before the one on 14 November. I understand that you were ill, but you had a month to send, and a month to let me know you were ill, but I heard nothing. Editing to add: The comment about beer had nothing to do with your choice of postcard, I was simply trying to relate to the words you had written on the back.
Response: I'm very sorry to see this rating. As I said in my msg. to you I wasn't sure who I missed letting know I was running behind. I went back and re msg'd and apologized if I missed you. As for the card I believe it was senders choice. I don't consider cider a beer. I don't drink beer. I was ill for most of oct. and beginning of nov. I couldn't shake it. This is what happens when you work around large groups of small children.
