My tulip bulbs didn't make it into the ground this fall, either. Oh, well. I've planted them in early Spring without trouble in the past. I also have very clay-heavy soil, and those columbines manage to thrive in it, so I'm hoping they'll be good and full for you even their first year. Thanks for your kind message. Meredith, last week USPS's Informed Delivery notified me that there is a postcard from you but I didn't see it in my mailbox. So I finally checked my sister-in-law's mailbox (she lives across the street from me and her mailbox is literally steps away from my mailbox). Sure enough, the mail person placed your postcard in there. Thank you for the postcard. I always enjoy receiving mail from you. Hopefully putting the lamppost wasn't too much work.
