About Me

I'm working on my PhD in Literature and working as a Grad Assistant. I will be writing my dissertation on women in dark comedy. I love all things French and/or purple. I have the cutest little Boston Terrier Puppy named Bartleby. My long time companion and the best dog in the world, Odie, just died of lymphoma after a year-long struggle with the incurable cancer. I am addicted to television and NPR podcasts.

Favorite Music

I love U2 more than any other music on earth. I'm also a big fan of The Decemberists, White Stripes, Carole King, Lily Allen, James Taylor, The Beatles, and The Stones, just to name a few. Basically, I love good music of any genre.

Favorite Books

I love all things Jane Austen. Also a big fan of David Sedaris and Kurt Vonnegut. I am studying 20th Century American Drama, but my love of literature is far and wide.

Favorite Television

Buffy, Veronica Mars, West Wing, Six Feet Under, Angel, BSG, Firefly, Farscape, Lost, The Office, Bones, L&O (all), Alias, Seinfeld, Big Love, Weeds, Sopranos, Coupling, and so much more...

Other Loves

I collect angels, dvds, and Harry Potter stuff. My kitchen is FULL of Coca Cola stuff. From the barstools to the dishes and the drapes, of course. I love chocolate, mango and pumpkin flavored ANYTHING. I am addicted to Bath and Body Works - especially their wallflowers. I love to clip funny quotes or comic strips. I love ALL THINGS FRENCH!! ;) Boston Terrier stuff. Environmentally friendly stuff.

Dislikes

black licorice, melon (other than watermelon), the color yellow, green beans, cauliflower, dressed up babies or animals, TEA - all kinds - can't stand it! romance novels, anything tested on animals.
