Description:

This is a new type of swap for me and probably for you too. Hopefully you  think its cool and interesting. You will list in the comments section, your 10 favourite crafting supplies or tools. Don't list super basics like cardstock, paper, bone folder, ink, scissors/ straight paper trimmer or adhesive. Those are givens.  Something more specific like patterned paper or textured paper.

Mine might include patterned paper, stamps, punches, Nestabilities, dies, electronic die cutting machine, flowers, pearls, Copics, ribbon. Obviously some things have to go together like stamps and ink or embossing stencil and an embossing stylus so just list the main item, no need to list the ink or stylus.

Then when partners are assigned, your partner will select 5 of the things you listed and a theme from your profile that interests them and you will create an ATC in that style. You can still use one item on the list that your partner did NOT select plus two items not on the list at all plus the given items like scissors etc.

The theme could be one of your partners favorite colours, one of their  likes, something they collect, or a general interest mentioned in their profile. Be kind and try not to pick something too hard! If you find you are struggling with what your partner chose, PM and negotiate with them. Still having trouble? I'm here to help! Please add a note with the listed items and items you've added in the envelope.

Please create this card using Sommerset publications as inspiration of course. Try not to list a theme that would be at odds with that goal in case your partner is into shabby and vintage but also monster truck rallies! Ha ha!

I'm copying and pasting the section below and doing this same swap with slight changes on various groups so, for example, if it says ATC below but the title says card, believe the title, sorry in advance if I goof.

*Stickers, AS ACCENTS, should be limited to high quality scrapbooking or card making stickers, not the kind meant for kids or teacher’s reward stickers.

*If you use rubber stamping, please stamp cleanly; missed areas or double lines are not acceptable. Please do not use computer generated images or sentiments because I have been very disappointed by images printed in very poor quality lately. (If you print them well using very good quality paper and ink, your partner won’t know and can’t rate you badly for it can they?? Wink wink!)

*Please make a beautiful ATC you are proud of and would be thrilled to receive. The ATC must include a total of at least 3 layers and/or embellishments. Make sure your work is clean and precise. No glue should show and straight cuts need to be straight.

*Please don't be discouraged by my rules. I am only referring to general tidy practices, not tiny flaws. I've received a card so saturated with glue I could knock on it and get hollow noises! I've received a note book with edges that looked like they had been cut with a saw! I just expect tidy work!

*Please have a 4.97+ rating to join and no 1's EVER or 3's in the last 6 months. I will accept explanations of course, PM me ahead of the sign up deadline. Newbies are welcome with WELL FILLED out profiles (About Me, Likes, Dislikes at least) and MUST PM me at least 3 days before the end of the swap to show good intentions. A newbie is someone with less than 5 completed and rated type 2 or 3 swaps. If you see a flaker has joined, don't worry, I will weed them out but there shouldn't be any on a group like this! If you are really worried, give me a heads up! I’ve been flaked on so many times, I've stopped keeping track, so I get it!

Enjoy, Rebecca
