Description:

We all have those lovely deadlines and word-count games we play with ourselves (and others) in November during NaNo. This is the fourth...fifth...anyway, this is another in the long line of rewarding that.

You take a look at your partner's profile, choose six presents to send to them for making their word count goals (generally, these are 1K, 5K, 10K, 25K, 37K, and 50K, but feel free to adjust as you see fit) and send them off by October 15th so they reach your partner no matter where in the world they are.

The same rules as in years by apply:

  1. Plan on spending $25-30 dollars
  2. Homemade gifts are welcome when equivalent
  3. Please consider your partner's profile when choosing your gifts
  4. If you're shipping out of country, make sure you check the postal rules and regulations. Some things will get your package held in customs or quarantine.
  5. No flaking. We've never had a problem with this, and I don't want this to be the first year.

There's a fairly short sign up time for this (1 week) to give you the most time to shop for your partner. If this turns out to have only domestic sign-ups, I will extend the shopping time out one week.

Questions? Anything I missed? Let me know!

Edit: As there are only US sign-ups, the shopping time is now extended out to October 22nd.

A suggestion: the first rewards, 1K and 5K are easy to achieve and most folks breeze through. But there's a BIG gap between 25K words and 50K words. Can a 35K or 40K level be added this year?

I was rather thinking the same thing. I added a level (half-way between the 25 and 50), increasing the cost by five dollars.
