Description:

This is a sender's choice sewing swap, and I plan to do one every two months. These will all be seasonal, but you will have the choice of at least two "seasons/holidays" for each one.

For this month's swap, please choose your theme from the following:
--Valentine's Day (think Cupids, Bows and Arrows, Hearts, etc.)
--Generic "love" theme (think non V-Day specific hearts, other love themed things, etc.)
--St. Patrick's Day (Green, Irish, Beer (if choosing to use beer themed fabric, please do check with partner first for that one because it could be controversial, and signing up for a February swap would not automatically make one assume they could get a beer themed item.)

You will have one partner (can be anywhere in the world, so take postage into consideration when signing up) and will create an apron for your partner.

Guidelines for the apron:

--Must be bibbed and come down at least to mid thigh on an average height woman.

--Bib must be a decent width and the apron must have extra long ties--this is so that you can make the apron without waiting to find out whether you got a larger lady or not. I figure everyone can wear a large apron by simply tying it twice, but not everyone can wear a tiny apron.

--Cannot be a simple "square" or "rectangle" with shoestring or grosgrain ties. Butcher style aprons are okay, but if doing a simple butcher style apron, must add either a ruffle, pocket, towel loop, or any and all of the above. And the ties must be coordinating fabric ties made for strength. Not trying to tell you what to make here, just trying to make sure it's fair for all. It wouldn't be fair for someone to spend hours making a handmade apron and get a flat square with shoestrings in return.

--You can contact your partner and ask if they prefer a non-bibbed or toolbelt style apron if that's your specialty, but if they say no, you must stick to the bibbed apron.

Ratings Requirements:

--If you get an apron that meets the requirements in this swap and was shipped on time, you must rate a 5, even if you don't like the pattern or if it is for a holiday or a season you would have preferred not to get (you can choose not to sign up for the swap if you don't like a specific holiday) --If you get an apron that does not meet the requirements (no bib for apron, etc.) or if you get one that does meet the requirements but was sent significantly late (sent more than 1 week after the swap date with no communication from your sender), rate a 3 --If you do not receive an apron, rate a 1. I cannot angel this swap as described (i.e. can't necessarily do one for the exact season), but I will do my best to send an apron if you do not receive something and are unable to resolve it after attempts to contact your partner.

Participation Requirements:

--No newbies. Must have at least 5 package swaps under your belt. Single ATC-only swaps do not count as package swaps. ATC series swaps, or ones where you send several ATCs plus other goodies can count as package swaps. --No flakers. No unexplained 1's. No 3's within the past six months.

That is all. I hope you decide to join.

Please be sure to check out the other swaps in the series. All six are now created to take us through next year.

To all who are watching: Please note this has been updated to be an apron only swap. Bags are no longer included. I updated it when there was only me and one other apron lover in the swap, and contacted her for input. So if you choose to participate from this point onward, you are doing so with the knowledge that it is for an apron. Thanks!

In your description it still says an apron or a reusable shopping bag...you can change that by editing your swap, as not everyone reads the comments. :)

Yes the line just above "Guidelines for the Apron" does still say that a reusable shopping bag is okay. (I thought I would help locate the "offending" line).

@wolfeagle and @Aussiemate thanks so much for helping find that. I have updated it. :-)
