Description:

Don't throw away those 2011 calendars yet! Use them to make some nice envies for someone!

For this swap you will use your old calendars from years past (or new one if you got a super great deal on it) and make some envelopes for your partner. You must make at least 3 envelopes, if you choose to make and send more, that is up to you! Please make them big enough so they can go through normal mail. So: you will have one partner and you will send them at least 3 handmade envelopes from calendars.

I will be checking profiles and I am always in the SB Flakers forums looking out for names as well as in the PF's. I reserve the right to ban anyone that I feel might be a flaker or pose any kind of flaking threat. No partial suspensions and no recent unexplained 1's or 3's.

If you have questions, please PM me!

Could it be 2012 calendars because I don't have old ones?

I am so pleased to find this swap. I got a duplicated calendar this year from two friends who know I like the theme. I decided to make envelopes rather than send the extra one to the thrift shop, because that way I had all the fun of making the envies and would be able to send them. It was only yesterday I cut them out and folded them.... today I thought to check for an envie swap just in case there was one...and there is :-) So I can share my envies with my partner.

@BeeGon - Yes you can use calendars from 2012. As long as its a calendar, you can use it.

@mwquilt - So glad you checked! I also have a huge stock pile from last year and love using them because I get so many colorful ones!

Wonderful, I found a number of old calenders I kept for doing creative work with them. Now there are many new and very different envelopes. Will ship as many until the weight limit is reached. Cannot wait for the address of may swap partner...

@Reisegern - I'm going to do the same thing! I worked in a bookstore that went out of business-- can you guess which one?? -- and there were TONS of calendars left over at the end and I must of picked up over 30 for under $1. I've been using them to make envies and I'm about to move - so I'd love to clear out some of my stash -- that's the main reason I created this swap! :) Happy Swapping Everyone!

Do the numbers/ days belong on the inside or the outside?

pocci 01/10/2012 #

Is it ok, of you only see a very small part of the actual calendar? I have one with awesome huge pictures and it would be a shame to cut away most of them just to see all the numbers and stuff.

@SamiE & @pocci - You can have either side of the calendar on the outside, its up to you! I would suggest that if you do have the numbers on the outside to put some kind of different colored label on it for your partner for writing the address since I've heard these new postage machines are screwing up all kinds of mail if there is anything other than the address written on it. I have seen some pretty ones with the numbers on the outside that had some writing inside the day block. But it is up to you!

Thanks. Mine are the pretty pictures on the calendars.
