Welcome to the Vintage Ephemera Swap!

Merriam-Webster defines ephemera as paper items that were originally meant to be discarded after use but have since become collectibles. And we ephemera-junkies know that these little gems are just too precious and valuable to discard!

This is NOT a junk mail swap! True ephemera only, please.
The ephemera must be true vintage - 1970s or earlier.

Ideas include:

sheet music, greeting cards, textbook paper, letters, lace, millinery, wallpaper, flashcards, ledgers, receipts, checks, time cards, jigsaw puzzle pieces, newspapers, advertisements, matchbooks, maps, labels, tags, tickets, medicinal & pharmacy labels, game score pads, game board pieces, bingo cards, coin rollers, old post cards, playing cards, pages from childrens books, pages from music books, pages from a dictionary, pages from poetry books, stamps, seed packets, game pieces, baseball cards, library cards & pockets, flashcards, coasters, menus, theatre programs, green stamps, invitations, calling cards, letters, envelopes

FILL one envelope with a variety of vintage ephemera – it's always nice to check your partner's profile for ephemera preferences, but it is sender's choice.

Minimum envelope size is standard greeting-card sized envelope (approx. 6.5 inches x 4.5 inches (16.5cm x 11.5cm), however, anything larger is even better!

Please include a note inside the envie indicating the swap name, and your Swap-Bot user ID.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

● Must be rated a 4.95 or better

● Open to newbies (unrated swappers) with a well filled-out profile --- this is your opportunity to get some great ratings (and wonderful ephemera)!

● No 1s or recent / unexplained 3s

HAPPY SWAPPING!

hi, i have a lot of images from various Dover books I have purchased over the years but they are on a CD, can I print some images and include them in the envelope?

Wenturner71 02/11/2012 #

I doubt that would count. True ephemera are the actual items, not copies or printouts of items.

Justene 02/11/2012 #

hello @MizzKodak : sorry for the late response! @Wenturner71 is correct. This swap is for true ephemera, not copies. It's pretty easy to find - thrift shops are a great place to start! And antique shops too! :)
