Send one postcard to one partner that is hand cancelled. Hand cancelled, also called hand stamped, is when you walk the postcard up to the counter at the post office and ask the nice mailperson to hand cancel the stamp. This service should not cost extra for postcards.
This swap is sender’s choice and the postcard should be sent naked¹, stamped and written on. Write a nice, short note about anything on the card. The postcard can be store bought, professionally printed, or handmade. Please make something nice and not a card with a couple stickers slapped on. I have seen some magnificent handmade postcards. I will angel if necessary. Please contact your partner before giving a low rating to make sure nothing was lost in the mail.
Ratings – A rating of “5” should be given if you receive a postcard that has been hand cancelled by May 21st. You may actually receive the postcard later due to travel time. Also, sometimes the post office machine stamps over the hand stamp. The sender has no control over this and it should not count against them as long as the hand stamp is there too. Remember, the card is sender’s choice and not profile based.
♫ Each participant sends one hand cancelled postcard to one recipient.
♫ Newbies are welcome with a nicely filled out profile.
♫ This is open to international swappers. I have received super cool hand stamps from Australia, France and Libya. To the best of my knowledge, the United Kingdom does not allow for hand cancelling. (Sorry mates!)
♫ No 1’s or unexplained 3’s. I do check profiles. Last month we had a GREAT group of swappers join! I am hoping for a repeat. :-)
¹Naked means not sent in an envelope. (for the newbies ☺)
