Description:

International, Newbie, etc. For everybody that wants to do a Yarn Ball Swap, but doesn't have enough ratings yet, this is YOUR swap!!

It works like this: You read your partner's profile, then take several items you think they would like and wrap them, one at a time, into a ball of yarn. It's OK if things are sticking out "here, there, and everywhere". That's part of the fun of a Yarn Ball! When your partner receives their Yarn Ball, they will unwind it, and the goodies will fall out! It's like a grownup treasure hunt! It is so much fun.

For newbies, please have a filled-out profile, my space page, website, etc. The more you can tell us about yourself, the better. Since this will be International, we will help keep costs down by making this a $10-$15 swap, before postage. Remember, you can save on postage by sending things that don't weigh so much.

Please check your partner's profile for their likes/dislikes. Please use quality yarn, of whatever kind you think your partner will like. The price of the yarn "IS" included in the total of $10-$15 for this swap.

I will ban right before the swap closes, but will only ban anyone who I think may not be able to follow through with the swap. So newbies, sign up, fill out your profile, and join in the fun!

Hello Thank you for putting on this swap for newbies I had a lot of fun purchasing my items and wrapping it all up. I mailed my yarn ball out today but the post office said it would take 4-6 weeks to get from Canada to England. I think the contents are worth the wait and I hope my partner does too! She got spoiled as my yarn cost me my limit but I couldn't stop there.... how addictive and it feels so good to be generous!

I know what you mean, siayla, these things are SO FUN to put together! I'm sure your partner will be thrilled.

Nothing like bringing it down to the wire! I mailed this morning. The postman says ~3 days with a prevailing tailwind.

LOL, lora - I just sent mine yesterday. (Yes, there is a Post Office near-ish me which is open on Sundays!) Mine will be the one which looks like it was wound by some hapless creature with no opposable thumbs. Who knew winding a ball of yarn required dexterity? :^P
