Description:

( I got permission from Isabellesnow to host this swap).

One of my favorite things to do lately is create mail art. But sometimes I get inspiration when I'm away from home and by the time I get home...well...the inspiration has passed. Imagine yourself sitting waiting for a DR appointment, being inspired, creating a piece of mail art, and mailing it out immediately!

For this swap, you will create a mail-art-on-the-go parcel for your partner. The idea is that your partner can be inspired to create a piece of mail art and, if they're carrying the parcel you sent, they can send something out BEFORE returning home! Inside the parcel, you will include 5 (or more) of the following items:

•3 postcards

•set of tiny markers or mini colored pencils

•4 postage stamps (forever first class or postcard)

•address labels

•3 notecards

•a sheet of quality flat stickers

•a small rubber stamp with a small inkpad

•adhesive for paper

•2 colored pens

•deco tape/washi tape

•handmade envelopes of different sizes

*5 envelopes plain (may include notecards too for writing a note)

•cardstock cut into postcard size (4"x6")

*envelope of ephemera that could be glued to decorate envelopes

*stationary set

*extra rubber stamp(s)

The items you send must be inside a tote of some type--the pencil pouches made for notebooks work well or one of the larger zippered pencil pouches or cosmetic bags (new, please!) Many of these "mini" items are available in the $1 bins at Michaels and Target.

Make certain when choosing the items you send that you select a minimum 5 different items, and make sure they are items that will enable your partner to create and send a piece of mail directly from the mail art tote. Don't just send 5 sticker sheets. Be creative and think about what you would like to use when creating a piece of mail art. You may look at your partners profile to see if they dislike any particular colors or styles. If this swap goes well... we may do a mail art 'refill' kit one month.

Everyone with a 4.8+ rating is welcome in the swap. If your rating is lower than 4.8 and you still want to participate, please message me; we can work something out.

is the USA postage the same as international? if I am sending to someone from another country can they use USA postage stamps in their own country? I didn't think we could...

No... you would ONLY send postage stamps to the person IF they were a partner from your own country. I was in this swap a few months ago and my partner (also from USA) sent me 4 Forever USA stamps. Otherwise... don't send stamps. ;) Instead maybe send them a little baggie of canceled postage stamps to decorate their art envelopes. :)
