Description:

For this swap you will make 2 handcrafted presents for your partner.

Make things inspired by the Christmas season. This is NOT an ornament swap, so please don’t send more than one ornament. There are so many other things to make: holiday journals, jewelry, stationary sets, crocheted dishcloth sets, hand-carved stamp sets, matchboxes (overflowing with goodies), ceramics, polymer clay creations, tote bags, zipper bags, stuffies, dolls, and handmade cards (4 would equal 1 item). The ideas are endless. This swap is Sender's Choice.

Wrap the items nicely so they will look great under the tree!

Quality crafting only - NO flimsy items thrown together at the last minute! Make things that you would love to receive and that you are proud to send. There is plenty of time to craft between the sign-up and the send by date.

Though it is hard to set a value on handmade items, try to keep it at items you could sell at a craft fair or on Etsy for at least $10. This isn't as high dollar as it sounds, because you are crafting the items, not purchasing them at retail.

Guidelines: Must have been rated for 25 separate snail mail swaps, 4.95 rating or higher, all unresolved 1's or 3's will be closely reviewed. Known non-raters may also be banned. I will ban anyone that I feel might not be able to fulfill the swap requirements.

Make sure your profile is WELL filled out. Just in case your partner wants to send a profile based item.

does the handmade item have to be made by you personally? I attend many local art fairs & find beautiful handmade things to share/gift. I'm thinking the emphasis here is handmade & purchasing handmade items helps to support our local artists as well.

While the swap description says "you will make 2 handcrafted items", I am sure most partners would be happy to receive handmade items selected for them. "Quality crafting only... things that you would love to receive and that you are proud to send." You would need to contact your partner for approval. Keep in mind though that your partner does have the right to say, "no".

If you decide that you don't want to take the chance, please let me know. I may be able to find a private swap partner for you.
