I am a recently married 30 year old thrift store junkie from Cape Cod, Massachusetts. My day job is a seasonal one--during the summer I manage a ferry office. I love to travel! I've been to Ireland, Croatia, Slovenia, Germany and Jamaica (many times). I I live to be creative. My mom sews beautiful quilts and I was lucky to grow up in a creative household. I grew up by the sea, my dad was a fisherman, so I love ANYTHING MERMAID, fishing boat themes, and about the ocean. I am an avid crafter, I make beaded jewelry, I scrapbook, collage, make atcs, altered books, etc. I live with my handsome husband in a too small cottage for all of my hobbies!! :o) I am trying to be a good cook for him, but I am def. still learning :o) I don't mind the idea of being a domestic diva! I love my large loud family and have a few dear friends that mean the world to me. All of my swaps are sent from a smoke-free and sadly, pet-free home! However, if we are swapping vintage items I do get a lot of notions and things at thrift stores and re-sale shops so I can not be sure of their previous home! I am a grown up so I take pride in being a responsible swapper. I have been a pen pal and snail mail swapper since I was 12. I LOVE to read. Alice Hoffman is my ultimate favorite author. I am also enamored with Zora Neale Hurston, Alice Walker, Ann Hood, James Patterson (his romances more-so). I loved Stern Men by Elizabeth Gilbert, Illumination Night, Blackbird House and Acts of Nature by Alice Hoffman. Somewhere off the Coast of Maine by Ann Hood. I liked Good In Bed by Jennifer Weiner. Recently rapidly finished the Twilight series, and though I hate to be a follower, I did love it! This list could go on and on and on lol

One of me and my hubby's favorite pastimes is going to the movies. I love escaping for a couple of hours with a bucket of popcorn! My favorite movies change but some of them include: Tristan and Isolde, Shakespeare in Love, An Officer and a Gentlemen, Jane Austen Movies--Pride and Prejudice & Emma, The Family Stone, Steel Magnolia's, Danielle Steele's The Ring, Anything with Madea (Tyler Perry is awesome), Rambo II and V, Circle of Friends, Bridget Jones...

When my husband isn't watching soccer or wrestling I enjoy Cold Case, Without a Trace, Two and Half Men, Law and Order SVU, Golden Girls, Antiques Roadshow, Divine Design, Organizing, Decorating and Crafting shows on HG-TV and DIY.

Another long list :o) Beading, Jewelry making, Scrapbooking, Altered Books, ATCs (new at this but enjoying it), Papercrafts in general, I am a novice when it comes to sewing, but enjoy it very much. I do also like writing, photography and ceramics if that counts as well.

• My favorite flowers are HIBISCUS, peonys, gerber daisies, mums and zinnias.

• My fave colors include red, pink, purples, silver and gold, metallics etc. I also like shamrock green these days and yellow. Did I leave anything out lol I am color friendly obviously, so really anything will do...

• As far as scents go I like fruity ones, pear, apple, cranberry, I do like pine smells.

• I like hot tea, but not coffee.

I've decided to add this since I have so much on my profile it might be hard to know what I'm into RIGHT now! lol It changes! This is just a wish list, by no means are any of the things below expected!

• Any supplies for soldering glass ornaments & jewelry (I just took a great class on this): lead free solder, copper soldering tape, glass slides, rectangles or squares!

• Collage sheets

• Any Tim Holtz supplies--I would love a couple of distressables ink pads

• Handmade Holiday Ornaments-the best you've got! I want to see what everyone's specialty is!

• I'd love to experiment with Copic Markers

• Metal charms!

• Something from my etsy faves or something that you can make similarly!

• Christmas Stockings--I collect different ones!

• 100% Cotton Fat Quarters--the more colorful or whimsical the better! :o)

• Anything to do with American Flyer or Lionel Trains (for my beloved dad!)

I DO NOT LIKE

• skulls!!

• too much kitty cat stuff (sorry I'm just more of a dog person).

• I like nature but do not prefer realistic animal items.

• Overbearing florals make me sneeze!

• For some reason Clowns and dolls freak me out, always have, so please none of those!!

• Thank you for the thought, but I'd prefer not to recieve chocolates or treats, as I'm perpetually on a diet!!! :o) (But if the swap calls for it, when its comes to treats I prefer salty to sweet)

• Lastly, I am spiritual, but not overly religious. I do like images of the Virgin Mary in artisic endeavors, but otherwise wouldn't want religious items. Angels are okay, but not an overwhelming favorite.
