Description:

Stuff My Stocking will be a hand-made swap. You will have one partner and you will make three small items for your partner's Christmas stocking. (Even if they don't have a stocking, it will be fun to receive three handmade gifts!!)

You must be a member of the Crafting Queens to participate and you must have at least a 4.9 rating. I will be checking ratings.

You may choose three items off the Suggested List that you would like to make for your swap partner or if there is something else you like to make, go ahead. If you're not sure, PM me and I'll give my advice. All three items will be hand-made. Keep in mind you are creating these gifts for a Crafting Queen so it will be done to CQ high standards. No one will be disappointed that way! Make it something you'd be proud to share with your friends.

Remember, the Suggested List is just a suggestion. Go ahead; be creative. If you are unsure if it's appropriate, PM me. I'm sure we can work it out.

Suggested List of Handmade items:

-needlecase -tissue holder -small zipper pouch -bookmark -earrings -address labels -dotie -altered box -gift tags (any occasion) -ornament -notecards with envies -pincushion -frame -potholder

The list could be endless and, remember, you can PM if I left something off you would like to make. Remember it has to be sized to fit an average Christmas stocking.

In addition, you can send one store-bought item if you wish but be sure to check your Swap Partner's Profile for this item; all handmades will be Sender's Choice. Your rating will not be lowered if you choose not to send the extra store-bought item.

This is a USA only swap in concern for postage costs and there is a similar, but different, stocking stuffer that's International.

PM if you have any questions and above all, enjoy the process as well as the product.

Would a handmade book/journal be acceptable?

QuilterinMotion 10/26/2012 #

Absolutely; just remember it needs to be sized to fit an average Christmas stocking. Sounds awesome; I'd be thrilled with it and I'm sure others would too.

Would key fobs, magnets, key chains, cupcake toppers and stuff made out of clay..be okay??

QuilterinMotion 10/29/2012 #

Duckygirl, I was wrong about that. I think if that's your area of crafting queenliness, you should make your stocking stuffers with clay. After all, all crafts are equal, right? Sorry for the quick comment without thinking it through. New to this role and still learning!

How about coffee cup cozies/jackets?

and handmade envelopes without note cards?

QuilterinMotion 11/ 6/2012 #

Go ahead, gals; whatever craft you make is fine if it's something you would be happy to receive yourself!! That's always my measuring stick when I"m making things. Would the other person like to receive this, be happy to show it to others as a present she received? Flofirenzie...I'm not especially fond of spiders my self but I did go look at your Christmas spiders and they are beautifully made!
Mindy, yes and yes. I just started making handmade envelopes out of magazine covers, etc and the I think they are so neat!!!
Have fun with it, gals.
