Give the gift of life!
Please consider becoming a bone marrow donor/ stem cell donor by joining the National Marrow Donor Program.
You could "Be the Match" and have the unique opportunity of saving someone's life.In case you're wondering, marrow and stem cell donation is done while you're alive. It's much simpler than giving someone a kidney.
This is an issue that is very close to home for me. My daughter received a peripheral stem cell transplant from a donor in the registry in July 2010. Her donor is in Germany!
Also, please consider being a blood and platelet donor at your local blood bank.
