Description:

Let's make a handmade note card and write a friendly note inside to our partner. You do not have to make the envelope.

The note may be handwritten or typed and inserted.

This is sender's choice. You may use any material and any technique you like.

The card should be of a size that can be mailed in its own envelope with one stamp from your country (no mini cards please).

While stickers are allowed as embellishment, no sticker slapping please.

While everyone is welcome to join, please keep in mind that you may be receiving someone's first effort, so please be kind in rating and providing feedback. (";)

Have fun!

Some easy tutorials:

1 - while this uses fabric, it can easily be made using paper images instead

2 - uses washi tape

3 - uses paint chip samples but any paper could be used

4 - uses patterned paper, ribbon, and a flower embellishment

Plus tons more here!

Are we supposed to write inside the card or keep it new for someone else to use? Just want to clarify before I send mine out. Thanks!

"Let's make a handmade note card and write a friendly note inside to our partner."

This is a card you are sending to your partner with a note from you to them (not a card for them to send to someone else).

I figured that would be less pressure for those of us who are truly beginners in this craft. (";)

Ok, thank you! I was fine either way but wanted to make sure.

Sent today! I just want to say I really enjoy the swaps here in NTG. It is my favorite group since joining swap-bot.

Weird, it's still 4/29 here where I am posting from but my last post is dated 4/30. Where is swap-bot based from? Just curious. I never really thought about it before. I'm on the west coast USA.

Sorry I haven't checked back here for a while Melyssa. Glad you are enjoying NTG.

Swap-bot is based in NYC. Note that if you mail your swaps later in the day on the last day, they will show as being sent a day late in the swap participant list. Just something to keep in mind should anyone question it.
