Description:

This series of swaps is to encourage creating artwork using at least three different techniques. I think we all tend to fall into a rut of doing things the comfortable way -- this is to encourage a bit of exploration with different media.

Examples of some of the techniques you can try on your postcards include: Hand painting or Illustration, Stamping, Embossing, Masking, Resist, Collage, Mosaic, Digital Hybrid or traditional photography, Hand-carved prints, Metal or Fabric Crafting.

The theme for this handmade postcard is "Autumn". You may interpret this any way you wish. What do YOU think of when you hear the word "Autumn"?

On the back of the postcard please list the three techniques you used (example - stamping, masking, and collage). Of course, you are welcome to use more than three techniques. Once your postcard is received your partner might PM you with questions about your artwork. Please be open to responding with details of your process. I would like this series of swaps to be an avenue to learning new techniques from one another.

Please include a little note to your partner. For example -- what do you like/dislike about Autumn? Do you have any traditions? Travel plans? Favorite childhood memories?

Is this to be sent naked?

That is sender's choice. Sometimes my 3 techniques swaps get pretty involved and I get scared to send them naked. :) So I will leave it up to the artist (sender).
