A number of newbies have expressed interest in ATCs and zentangles, so this is one in a series of monthly artist trading card swaps. These swaps will help you learn to construct an ATC with minimal requirements for artistic ability. One card to one partner.

The only two rules about ATCs are:

  1. They must be 2.5 x 3.5 inches in size. (64mm x 89 mm)
  2. They must never be sold, only traded.

Okay, are you ready for the swap requirements?

Don't be scared. :)

  • Cut your card stock to the correct size (see above). If you want to make the card extra sturdy, glue a second piece of card stock to the back. For this swap, your edges should be cut neatly and evenly.
  • Create a zentangle on your card. Please use only "official" zentangle patterns. There are links below if you are new to tangling.
  • You can just do random tangle patterns, or you can tangle within a design, like a heart, flower, butterfly, etc.
  • Do your best work. Neatness counts. I am giving you plenty of time to practice.
  • Please use only black/white for your zentangle. Gray is acceptable if you want to try shading. No colors.
  • Turn your card over and write the name of the swap, your name, and the date on the back.
  • Send it off to your partner on time.

Rate promptly and accurately.
Communicate with me and your partner if there are problems.

Ohhh, I thought so wrong on this -- thinking it would be easy. It was one of the hardest things I've attempted in ages. My hands just don't work the way they used to, lol.
