I value authenticity. That means external actions should match internal beliefs/values.
I value self responsibility. That means you own and accept the consequences of your actions.
I value truth and consistency. That means you don't say one thing and do another.

I rate according to SB guidelines: 5s for swaps that meet guidelines (including timeliness); 3s for late or incomplete swaps; and 1s for unreceived swaps. Extras will not earn you a 5 or a heart if you've sent late. If you are a chronic late sender, you will not enjoy swapping with me. After 3 years on Swap-Bot, I'm tired of the excuses, and I WILL rate you a 3 for lateness.

I give hearts for well-made swaps that are sent on time, not for extras. If you've done a good job on the swap item, there's no need to include anything else!
