Description:

If you've never made fabric postcards before, here's your chance to try something new! And if you love to make ATCs, you're almost there anyway! The only difference between ATCs and PCs is the size (X vs Y). And, instead of using paper, you use fabric as your main material. You don't need a lot of fabric to start - just some scraps will do. If you're not a sewer, maybe you know someone who is - ask for some of their cuttings. Or visit your local thrift store and check out the linens and clothing sections for some neat pieces of fabric that won't cost you a lot. A bit of ribbon and lace can also come in handy - check out your local dollar stores for that.

If you don't sew, you can use fusible webbing or tacky glue to add your fabric onto a background piece of card instead of cloth. Start with a collage or an abstract: just randomly cut your fabric into small pieces and glue onto the background piece. Add some small beads, glitter, paint, thread, fibres, etc. Stamp it. Frame it with ribbon. As long as the majority of your PC is fabric, you've met the swap requirements!

In this swap you will create, 3 fabric postcards for 1 partner, for a total of 3 postcards. You can do any theme but check their profile to get an idea of what they like.

For inspiration check out this site

Fabric Postcards are 4 x 6 and can be mailed with a single stamp.Once you finish your postcards be sure to put your address and the address of the person your sending to on the back of the card. Then go to the postal office and mail it.

You will receive 3 back in the mail.I did 20 of these for Christmas and they all arrived at there destination.

Only swappers with a 4.0 and no recent no sends will be allowed to play.If you have more then one no send you will need to contact me

Funkychickenoriginals: Did you intend to make the sign-up and send dates the same? If so, we won't be able to check profiles before we make the cards. I would suggest that we will need at least 1 week to make 2 copies of 3 different cards. Thx.

Thanks for letting me know i didnt intend to do that.

If we dont get enough sign ups i will be changing the number of partners to 1.You will then need to send 3 different postcards to 1 partner.

Hi Funkychickenoriginals: Yours are all done and will be in the mail tomorrow! Tassy

Hi Funkychickenoriginals: Unfortunately, your 3 PCs required more than the usual postage (they were all too thick for letter rate) and so the Post Office put one of those ugly automated stamps on all of them and I could not have them handstamped. At least you will be able to remove the ugly stamps. Sorry! Tassy
