Description:

Most of us love our vintage ephemera but try to think about the things around you that are modern day ephemera. Will they be loved and adored in 25, 50 or 100 years?

Collect 5 of the things from the list below and make a handmade postcard for your partner using all or part of each item. Send it naked (not in an envelope) and dazzle your partner. Let's interpret modern as within the last 5 years.

This is obviously a collage type swap but feel free to add anything else you want - rubber stamping, drawing, painting, stenciling, rubbings, etc. You may also use other types of ephemera or paper.

Can pieces of fabric be considered as ephemera? Thank You

Hey Snoop, (The short answer is Yes.)

Some examples of fabric ephemera would be commercially printed political handkerchiefs, advertising bandanas, ties, printed commercial ribbon (like win/place/show ribbons from county fair), "do not remove" stickers/labels from pillows or household products, or from a folding fabric fan, bookmark, or anything that's intended to be thrown away after it's served its initial purpose, as opposed to yardage.

The swap states it's okay to use other elements; as long as you include five modern ephemera elements, using fabric as your preferred medium should be okay!

Of course that's just my two cents, Final Word is Angie's, since it's her swap!

Yes, I'm okay with fabric just be careful to include enough postage ...
