Description:

Is your boyfriend or husband tired of you getting all the good mail (girly swaps, goodies, bath products,) and him being stuck with all of the bills?? hahaha

Well here is a swap for us to spoil our boys, and just in time for Valentine's day!

This swap is USA only(sorry!)

You will have only 1 partner. Your package should be worth about 15 dollars when you send it off and include at least ALL OF the following THREE things:

1) An item for your partner to give to their boyfriend/husband. A few examples might be an action movie (can be old/used as long as it is in working condition), men's socks (non cutesy), an old video game (keep it for PCs cause we all know we have computers, but we might not have a specific gaming system), a men's T-shirt (e-mail your partner for a size), etc

Item 1 is where most of the value of the package will be, about 10 dollars.

2)Post a comment below with specific goodines your hubby/bf likes. For example, my boyfriend looooooves reese's peanut butter cups and hot chocolate.

3)Make or buy a BLANK valentine for your swap partner to fill out and give to their valentine (which i assume will also be their bf/hubby haha!)

Please make sure you send your swap and send it on time. If you don't, you won't just be dissapointing one person but a couple of them. If you have a no send for a package in your ratings you'll be banned. If you e-mail me explaining the situation, I may consider letting you join. If you have a couple of no sends for smaller things like postcards I'll be more understanding. Don't mean to be brutal I just want everyone to get their swap!!

Again, the costof the package before shipping should be around 15 dollars.

Thanks!

Mine is Seth Tipton. He is a Karate instructor. He lives and breaths Karate so anything Karate would be great! He loves reese's peanut butter cups and Rolos. Hmmm.... what else.... Oh he wears an XL t-shirt and he wears size 9 shoes (for sock size...) I think that's it let me know if you have any other questions.... ~westie

Mine's Nick. I was not kidding when I said he loves reese's peanut butter cups and hot chocolate (and brownies and milk and cookies.. such a junk food junkie!!) I don't think I've ever seen him wear a pair of socks that aren't argyle (he loves argyle anything) His shoe size is 14 (for socks) but sizes 10-12 are usually more easy to find and will usually stretch to his big ol' feet. He wears a medium-large t-shirt (skinny but tall.) hmm.. I think that's about it. thanks!

Hey there! I love this. My boyfriend makes fun of me that im totally addicted to this site - but NOW there is something in if for him.... His name is Bryan and he LOVES peanut butter. peanut butter anything. cookies. candy. you name it he will wolf it down. He wears a size 13 shoe and L or XL shirt. He loves comedies and starwars. We are on a Twilight Zone and Space Ghost kick.... lets see - he usually wears plain jane white socks (low cut) but he works outside - so maybe a pair of warm socks would be helpful? mmm...i think that sums it up :) if you have any questions - let me know! ~Kara

Okay, we aren't actually "together" anymore (although we're close) but I want to do this swap for my son's daddy. His name is Jonathan (or Jon if you want!).

He actually really likes warm/woolly socks (wears a size 11) and likes to wear thermal shirts (size med. or small, he is super skinny). He likes video games, Arnold Schwarzeneger, Twilight Zone, Family Guy/Adult Swim. He is a boring eater, lol... he loves plain Hershey's milk choclate, gum, Skittles, and HATES anything with nuts. He does like pumpkin bread and soft peanut butter cookies ;)

Feel free to contact me with questions! I think this will be a fun swap!

I saw the title of this swap, and thought that as much as there are times I would gladly give him away, I think I really want to keep him :)

Have fun, everyone!

ok, my DD and i decided to stay in, as I was thinking of dropping out. But my fiance always makes comments that Kaity and I ALWAYS get happy mail and he doesn't. We were even going to send him happy mail ourselves, but then I saw this swap and I thought it would be nice to have someone else send him the mail, addressed to him and all that. the Valentine can even be just as a unknown friend, but not from me, because he already gets stuff from me! So anyway....his name is gary, and he is a music fanatic! I really can't say what kind of music, because he is very eclectic, it ranges from classical to Beatles to Van Morrison to Big Bad VooDoo Daddy to Broadway musicals like Phanto of the opera. When we go to Borders, that's all he does is spend all the time the cd area listening to music... Kaity just told me that he also likes Cold play, he already has their new a\cd XY, but none of the older stuff. lets see what else i can tell you about him... he is in a wheelchair, but is very independent and as active as he possibly can be. Socks would be boring to him I think, but... he does need some thin mens socks that would go easily in his shoes, not sure of the size but I think 10-12 would do it. He likes mock turtleneck shirts, and button down shirts, size large, and he likes sweaters and knitted vests (he's 54 years old, so he thinks he's old fashioned!) he love computer word games, he has an apple iMac powerbook, or whatever they are called... as for goodies, he has a very bad sweet tooth. he likes red licorice, rlos, anything that is chocolate, dark especially. he like spicy nuts too. he also enjoys a good cup of coffee in the morning and a cold beer when he gets home from work! (the beer is out of the question, i know, it was just a comment, lol) Anyway, that's my dear Gary. I've given a lot of ideas, and even though I think he might kill me if he knew i was doing this, I know that getting happy mail would be a nice surprise to him. Again though, i want it to be from my partner, as a friend, not from me. Is that asking/telling too much? susi

To my partner: My husbands name is Jeremy!

1) To help with the gift part he likes Michigan Wolverines (College Football)and Jeff Gordon (NASCAR Racing), Top Chef (though he doesn't cook) Season 1 DVD is just a suggestion, and Alan Jackson (Country Singer). He likes Rocky movies, Terminator or that movie LaBamba. He also likes those shows Forensic Files and Cold Cases. He wears an XL in t-shirts and sweatshirts. Doesn't wear vests or sweaters, and doesn't wear boxers. Store of choice is Old Navy. He also loves coffee so mugs or coffee would be a good gift. His coffee of choice is from Dunkin Donuts if it is in your area. He also drinks it with Hazelnut creamer (not the dry stuff though). If you wish to throw in some small items: pens (always looking for one), envelopes (small or large with his favorite things on them would be cool but not the cute kinds) or even some Equal (the blue stuff that is a substitute sugar sweetener). He is not into computer or video things, has TONS of socks, doesn't read, and is not a handy tool person.

2) He loves chocolate and w/ nuts would be good also, variety of nuts, or a homemade batch of cookies in a tin with some chocolate chips and walnuts in them would make him VERY happy. (he likes crunchy but not burnt or hard cookies). He also likes gum (Orbits Spearmint) He wouldn't like hard, gooey, sour, or fruit candy stuff.

3) A card that is really funny with a monkey or some animal would be great for him.

Hope that helps my partner, but you have any questions or anything please feel free to email me. I usually repond pretty fast. xoxo Barbara :)

Hi I forgot to tell you about Jim.

He is a men's small or medium and he really likes those funny t-shirts like "i didn't do it, it was my evil twin", and he is into RPG and logic games (Board, computer or gamecube). He also likes chocolate (and I don't really ever buy it for him because I hate it) Ramen soups make him happy and he likes hot chocolate. Thanks for picking out something fun for Jim

When are we getting parnters? The sign up date ended 2 days ago? We have an ice storm that just hit today and with a baby & 5 year old I will have to get out as soon as possible before it gets bad out. Thanks so much!!

Glenn 02/ 1/2007 #

I'm sorry girls!! It's taking me a while to get used to this new "assign swap partners" thing! I keep forgetting that it isn't automatic anymore..

I added another 2 days to the deadline because I was a couple of days delayed in assigning swap partners.. Feel free to send them out earlier if that's easier for you.

Thanks!

Westie- I just wanted to touch base. Ratings are open and I noticed that you have indicated that you sent our package. Please let me know. I do not want to give anyone a bad rating because sometimes things just happen.

user5325 02/20/2007 #

westie - I sent your package out - but TOTALLY messed up on the address....PLEASE email me when you get this so I can straighten it out :(

savyjade 02/21/2007 #

Kara-

If I were you I would check out Westies ratings and contact the coordinator. She has not sent several packages in her last swaps. I would be wary of sending a package the you spent time and money on to someone who is not \"playing fairly\". I have talked with some of the thers she has not send to and she is not responding to anyone\'s emails. I just thought you would want to know. Amanda

Savyjade, I got my husband's package and it was perfect timing because due to a family emergency I had spent a week at the hospital and hadn't gotten him anything :-) Thank you for saving Valentine's day

savyjade 02/27/2007 #

You are so welcome! I hope everyone is ok!
