Description:

Well guys here we go! Be sure to read through to the end please!!

It's more than time for me to go through my craft supplies and swap them up! For this swap you will have to send either a 9x11 inch envelope or larger to your swap partner full of stuff you no longer use that is still good enough for others to use. I would prefer it if everyone would send at least 5 different categories listed below. I'm thinking at least 30 things and I will show you how to tally it:

Flat items: (Each of these count as 1) 1 sheet of scrapbook paper 12x12

1 sheet of stickers unused (if you have partials make sure to send a sheets worth)

2 pages of books, magazines, comics etc. (Please send a variety)

1 Sheet of Rub on transfers

1 stencil

4 postage stamps

2 pages of stationery

4 small tags / paper embellishments

1 unused postcard

3 used postcards

4 note cards

Other items: (Counts as 1 each)

1 ATC (yours or other people's)

1 large rubber stamp (by large I mean 3-4 inches on one side)

3 small rubber stamps (mounted or unmounted)

20 small beads or buttons (please put in bags!)

1 roll of Washi Tape (again if they are partials send the equivalent of one roll please)

There are some rules in play:

  1. If it's something broken or unusable DO NOT send this to your swap partner. The general rule is if you wouldn't like to receive tthese items then PLEASE don't send them.

  2. Do not send a whole envelope / box with just one type of item, and make certain that you are filling at least a 9 x 11 inch envelope if not larger. Personally I will probably have a small flat rate box worth of stuff, so no whimping out!

  3. No religious or inappropriate materials without first asking your swap partner. I love a good pin-up girl or two but not everyone does

  4. MOST IMPORTANTLY do NOT sign up for this swap if you don't intend on following through. I have enough craft stuff that I am getting rid of that I CAN angel if I have to, but I want to believe that you guys will follow through. I have faith in you.

  5. No newbies (Sorry). I will be sure to do a newbie swap soon. Since there is a lot involved in this kind of swap I'm setting the rating at 4.8 minimum with no recent 1s or 3s. I hope you all understand and I hope everyone plays nice and gets wonderful suprises in this swap ;).

This is exactly the type of swap I'm looking for, but so few on this site and even fewer open to newbies. Sigh.

Its hard to include newbies on swaps like these. I plan on doing another one of these in a few months once I have time to go through more stuff :)

ImnotDorothy 08/ 8/2015 #

When is someone no longer considered a newbie? I'd like to join if I can.

Ozzyflsgirl 08/ 9/2015 #

ImnotDorothy I think you would be OK. I didn't want anyone with less than 10 swaps joining or anyone with a blank profile. From what I see I think you will do just fine :D

Thanks.

I have tons of other stuff that isn't listed as well. Can we include things not listed? How would we determine how many to send of unlisted items? :)

Ozzyflsgirl 08/16/2015 #

@silenteyes24336 You can always add other things. Just be reasonable to content. What I mean is don't cheat your swap partner. As long as they are good items that are useable in the creative process. If you have at leasr a 9x12 envelope STUFFED full of stuff that's fair. I actually have 2 9x12s taped together into one, because I had so much stuff to swap. I'm definitely going to have to do more of these, because I still have tons to get rid of. :)

Can the rubber stamps be used? I have several I have used but would like to pass on. They are in great condition. Just might have some ink stain on the wood.

Ozzyflsgirl 08/16/2015 #

As long as its use able and not damaged, I would say yes :)

If we are sending card-stock what is the smallest size? Also I saw you mentioned to fill a small flat rate priority box......but aren't those smaller than an 9x11 envie? Thanks.

silenteyes24336 08/17/2015 #

@princessbedhead While the actual size of a small flat rate is smaller than a 9x11 envelope, a small flat rate box is thicker than you can safely get an envelope, so I think that's why she determined it to be actually a bit bigger than an envelope in the 9x11 size. :)

FYI....You can get a free flat rate padded envie on line from usps and they hold a ton of items. The small box is to limited to size because you would not fold paper nor do scrapbook paper bigger than 5x7 fit into it. The padded envie postage is $6.10 compared to box that's $5.95. Just thought I'd share this info.
I love these swaps, everyone has different stuff!!!!

Thanks @silenteyes24336 and @pattiairel :)
